ProfessionalTime Type:Full timePosition Term:12 MonthPosition Details:Summary of Duties:Positions assigned to this class are responsible for managing pre-award activities for the College of Arts and Sciences within the Grants and Fellowship Team using knowledge of grant and contract management rules and regulations, technical expertise, and analytical skills. This position contributes information and ideas related to areas of responsibility as part of a cross functional team, performs pre- award activities while ensuring effective and efficient workflow and adherence to quality standards for faculty and staff.Required Qualifications:• A Bachelor's degree in a field relevant to area of specialization and three (3) years of experience directly related to the specialty area. Any combination of relevant education and experience may be substituted for the educational requirement on a year-for-year basis.• Demonstrated proficiency with spreadsheets, database, work processing, email and calendaring software.• Experience with budget and management of financial resources.• Excellent written and oral communication skills.Preferred Qualifications:• Pre-award grant administration experience.• Current experience working with federal, state, and private agency regulations, policies, laws and regulations, and OMB Circulars (A-133, A110, A-21).• Experience with rapidly reviewing and providing detailed, accurate analysis of complex contract documents written procedures and correspondence.• Experience in a higher education environment.• Experience which demonstrates familiarity with programs and processes of granting agencies, including federal agencies, as well as corporate and private sponsors.• Experience developing and monitoring budgets.• Post-award grant administration experience• Research Administration Series through Human Resource Services (HRS) or equivalent Research Administration training.• Ability to work under imminent deadlines.Additional Information:Area/College: College of Arts and SciencesDepartment Name: Grants and Fellowship TeamCity, State, Zip: Pullman, WA 99164Department Link: https://cas.wsu.edu/Monthly Salary: $4,508.70 - $6,250In accordance with https://app.leg.wa.gov/RCW/default.aspx?cite=49.58.110 the above salary reflects the full salary range for this position.
