Responsibilities
The Opportunity
Create baseline of free trade agreements, special programs, free trade zones and special duty regimes that are currently being usedCreate a baseline of existing incoterms being used and create incoterm based strategies for operational benefits and possiblee productivity working alongside the ocean procurement teamAnalyze new duty optimization opportunities that leverage the team's productivity targets such as free trade agreements or special import/export programsSupport the team's automation initiatives in collaboration with the global excellence and continuous improvement teamsSupport team in delivering baseline of existing incoterms, free trade agreements, special import export programmes, free trade zones and import export duty regimes. Support yearly strategies for the customs and trade team including operational forecasting, planning and working together with the ocean procurement manager for volume forecasting and planning. Support standardization, continuous improvement, and knowledge management to unlock overall I/E and Customs & Trade optimization and decision making across sectorsSupport automation initiatives that result in productivity and time for the teamBuild and strengthen relationships across sectors to assure smooth import export operation of goods Leverage and replicate good practices across sectors Create and control SOP's for the various C&T Sectors insuring service levels across sectors for internal customers Contribute to a 4% YOY productivity from Import-Export (Customs, Duties, Assessorial charges) through cost transformation delivering ~$65 MM to PEP 2023-2025 and develop detailed plans for additional years 2026+ .Analyze all import/export operations across globe in order to identify possible C&T optimization opportunities and related compliance impacts seeking to reduce risks, compliance issues, and governmental audits.Establish Global communities of practice for I/E improving sector collaboration with Global team and with each other and sharing best practices
Your Impact
As Global Trade and Compliance Specialist your responsibilities would consist of:
Qualifications / Requirements: Bachelor's Degree or equivalent in International Trade, Business, Supply Chain4-6 years leading teams related to customs & trade and/or compliance Ability to positively influence teams outside of direct responsibility and across multiple business unitsCapable of working in a remote work group and being managed by a remote managerUtilize technical/functional knowledge that creates opportunities and solves business problemsAbility to drive large transformational change agenda to include people, process, technology transformation Ability to identify business issues and develop a business case / charter for actionSelf-starter with attention to detail and experience leading multiple teamsAbility to work collaboratively and proactively across multi-functional, sector, and business teams Excellent written and oral communication skills; proactively communicates using appropriate methods for situation and audience in clear, concise and professional mannerEnglish Fluency both written and verbal required; Exceptional communication skills across global businesses (additional languages a plus)Strong track record to manage multiple competing cross-functional prioritiesExperience in being part of and supporting large, complex best practices or projectsExperience with IT platforms and tools including design, configuration, development and implementationExperience working with cross-functional competencies, people, and teamsStrong track record of developing capabilities Strong track record in formulating innovative solutions and driving changeAbility to navigate through ambiguity and adapt quickly to a changing environmentStrong team player passionate about collaborating, coordinating, and committed to teamwork in all situationsAdvanced excel and other Microsoft tools (Powerapps, PowerBI/Tableau)
