We work for building owners in the private, not-for-profit, and public/government sectors.Our vision is to create value for building owners targeting opportunities for long term relationships.Our purpose is to create great opportunities for people.We carry out our vision and purpose through a commitment to our four core values...We CareWe Act with IntegrityWe Are InnovativeWe Are AccountableThe Benefits & Perks...(Available on 1st Day of Employment)Full portfolio of medical, dental, and vision benefits.Industry-leading 401K plan with company match.HSA, FSA, and life insurance offerings.Robust learning & development program.Career pathing flexibility.Who You Are...As General Manager of ODR, you are directly responsible for growing the existing ODR business through the sale and delivery of account driven projects, T&M spot work, and renewal of maintenance contracts.This Position...Some examples of the work you might do includes:Redeems the annual operating plan for the ODR operating unit through the sale and delivery of account driven projects, T&M spot work, and other reactive sales, as well as the management of an automatically renewable maintenance contract base, in collaboration with the branch owner focused salesforce.Maintains a thorough understanding of costs associated with owning, operating, and maintaining a building, and utilizes this knowledge to review these costs with prospects in various markets.Submits weekly reports to communicate levels of reactive and account managed selling/booking activity.Proactively analyzes customer organization and decision making processes to effectively participate in sales strategy development and presentations for key assigned accounts.Establishes escalation policies to ensure customer retention while maintaining profit objectives.Monitors payment of customer invoices and follows up on all receivables over 60 days past due.Assumes responsibility for the accuracy of all records, reports, logs, and data required to operate and manage the ODR business.Trains and mentors' subordinates on the development and implementation of effective ODR sales and maintenance agreement renewal strategies.Executes HR-related decisions (promos, salary adjustments, corrective actions, etc.) for direct reports.Assists with the development and redemption of the annual operating plan of the Company.Assists others in the Company in obtaining or retaining business when needed, working closely with the branch sales manager on customer focused strategy and opportunity development.Reviews and approves all preventive maintenance estimates and owner direct estimates >$100k in value.All other duties as assigned.What You Need...7+ years of related employment experience required.2+ years in a mentor, supervisory, or management role required.Extensive knowledge of the HVAC/controls industry.Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.Intermediate level computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel in particular).Capacity o leverage communication/interpersonal skills to develop and enhance business relationships.Ability to travel up to 20% of the time, primarily to customer meetings and job sites.Preferred Qualifications:College degree or advanced education preferred.Conduct Standards:Maintains appropriate Company confidentiality at all times.Protects the assets of the Company and ethically upholds the Code of Conduct & Ethics in all situations.Cultivates and promotes the "Hearts & Minds" safety culture.Consistently exemplifies the Core Values of the Company (we CARE, we act with INTEGRITY, we are INNOVATIVE, and we are ACCOUNTABLE).Work Environment:This position operates primarily in a professional office environment, and routinely utilizes standard office equipment, such as computers, phones, copiers, and filing cabinets.Work tasks may occasionally necessitate travel to local job sites, which means intermittent exposure to the conditions typically associated with a construction site.Physical Demands:In performing the duties of this job, the incumbent is regularly required to sit, stand, walk, talk, hear, perform repetitive motion, and possess an appropriate degree of both visual acuity and manual dexterity.This is considered a light work position, which means possible exertion of up to twenty (20) pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to ten (10) pounds of force frequently, and/or a negligible amount of force constantly to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects.This job description is intended to describe the general nature of work being performed by the individual who assumes this role, not an exhaustive list of responsibilities.
