Front-line Software Test Manager (Virtual)

Tapestry Solutions, a part of Boeing Global Services BGS, is seeking a Front-line Software Test Manager for a Virtual role, with up to 20% travel. The ideal candidate requires a proven track record in leading software testing initiatives and ensuring the delivery of high-quality software products. You will assist in leading an independent Testing Service team that prioritizes fulfilling the testing for all projects throughout the company. In this position, you will play a pivotal role in developing and implementing testing strategies, leading and mentoring a team of testers, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to drive excellence in software quality.
Position Responsibilities:
Lead and mentor a team of software testers, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement.Provide guidance and support to team members, ensuring their professional development and growth.Collaborate with stakeholders to define testing scope, objectives, and success criteria.Ensure the delivery of high-quality software products by defining and enforcing quality standards.Collaborate with development teams to integrate testing processes into the software development life cycle.Drive test automation initiatives, evaluating and implementing automation tools to enhance testing efficiency.Identify, assess and communicate project risks related to software quality, and develop mitigation strategies.Utilize metrics to drive continuous improvement in software quality and testing effectiveness and regularly report status of test activities to stakeholders.Assist in developing and implementing comprehensive testing strategies aligned with multiple project objectives and business goals.Assist in implementing and enhancing testing processes, methodologies, and best practices to streamline testing efforts and improve efficiency.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
Ability to travel up to 20-25%3+ years of experience with software testing, software development lifecycle and testing methodologies3+ years of experience with multiple types of testing (including test automation) and testing toolsExcellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skillsAbility to collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
Management experience including people management and mentorshipCertifications such as ISTQB, CSTE, or similar
Typical Education & Experience:
Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 7 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD+3 years' related work experience, Master+5 years' related work experience, 11 years' related work experience, etc.).

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualification, as well as market and business considerations. Summary base pay range $116,000 - $122,000
