Harlem Children's Zone (HCZ) - a world-renowned education and poverty-fighting organization based in New York - seeks an enthusiastic, dedicated, and mission aligned Forensic Specialist to support our high school students.

　　The Forensic Specialist will bring a passion for the mission of Harlem Children's Zone: break the cycle of intergenerational poverty with comprehensive, on-the-ground programming that builds up opportunities for children and families to thrive in school, work, and life.

　　The Forensic Specialist will join our team that provides a structured and engaging introduction to the active use of forensic science to our high school students. The ideal candidate will be able to expose students to designing forensic experiments through a designed curriculum and through a series of projects designed by the specialist. Additionally, the Forensic Specialist must be able to motivate and maintain the interest of students while setting a positive example, as well as, take a sincere, active, and appropriate interest in the well-being and success of all students.

　　Minimum Qualifications

　　A commitment to the mission and programs of Harlem Children Children's Zone. The Forensic instructor is responsible for teaching forensic instruction and facilitating an environment of learning.

　　Who you are

　　Exceptional oral and communication skills. An innovative character that builds relationships with students. Oversee the progress of students from project-based learning. Create outreach activities and workshops that expose the students to forensic and STEM activities. Sophisticated classroom management skills. Teach students the necessary skills to succeed in the classroom.

　　What you'll do

　　Teach students how to analyze crime scenes and gather evidence. Create instruction that teaches students to determine evidence in a crime scene. Take photographs of a crime scene and use them to gather evidence for criminal investigations. Organize class activities that are relevant to the Forensic classroom- instruction, course material, and projects. Prepare forensic educational-based trips, and special events, and invite guest speakers to speak about Engineering
