Financial Controller for the KTSV Division of Kentucky Trailer. The Financial Controller will be responsible for managing all accounting and finance functions as well as the internal controls of the division. The Financial Controller will also work closely with the Division President as a business partner.
Position Key Accountabilities:
Ensure the accurate and timely month-end reporting of the KTSV financial statements and supporting documentation in compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles and company policies and procedures.Monitor and identify budget and forecast variances for the division and provide business leadership with insights and perspectives on appropriate actions required to address variances.Manage all accounting functions including Billing, AR, AP, GL, Cost Accounting and Revenue Recognition.Implement and ensure business adherence to internal finance controls including data and reporting standards and compliance procedures.Manage and comply with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings.Coordinate the preparation of the Division's financial forecasts and annual budgets.Manage other requests as deemed necessary to support the achievement of overall goals of the Division and Company.Develop and provide succinct, insightful data to the division leadership team to enable data-driven decision making and to identify trends impacting financial performance.Operate as a key member of the Division Leadership Team and a key business partner to the Division President.Maintain a strong, deep accounting team by developing the skills of people in the department and providing opportunities for growth.
Desired Qualifications:
Degree in Accounting or FinanceMinimum of 5 years Accounting experience.CPA preferred.Manufacturing / Cost Accounting ExperienceStrong Excel SkillsStrong Communication SkillsWorks well under deadline pressure; good multi-tasking skillsExcellent accounting software user and administration skillsPrior experience with Percentage Completion Accounting a plusComfortable working in a decentralized business environment where businesses operate autonomously within a larger financial entity. Familiarity with the concept of measuring the performance of individual business segments within an overall business.Demonstrated ability to improve and simplify key business processes.Some familiarity with 80/20 business thinking and Lean techniques a plus.
