The Field Trial Administrator will lead all field trials across the AC division new products including residential and commercial product lines. As a member of the core engineering team FTA will develop field trial plans for all new technology being developed. FTA will Budget and maintain the database of all field trial units and FTA will also coordinate the installation of units in field at customers place and be responsible for data logging and monitoring the sites after installations. FTA will coordinate the end of field trial task e.g. replacing the units after field trial completion.
This position will serve our Air Conditioning Division, located in Fort Smith, AR. This is a hybrid role and you will be required to come into the office roughly 3 days/week. You must reside in a commutable distance to our Fort Smith office.
WHAT YOU'LL DO:
• Identify the needs for field trials in conjunction with Engineering managers.
• Prepare field trial plan in line with new product development schedules.
• Coordinate the builds and installation of field trial units scattered all over North America or the market the products are intended to be sold.
• Coordinate and responsible for installing data logging systems at all field trial sites and making sure all units are presented on central dashboard for easy monitoring.
• Develop a plan to be proactive vs reactive on field trial issues (using new field trial dashboard tool)
• Execute confidentiality agreements with all homeowners of field trial sites.
• Collecting customer feedback during field trials.
• Plan and coordinate, completion of field trials and replacing the field trial units with regular products.
• Prepare monthly and quarterly field trial finding reports for leadership review.
• Manage annual budget of field trials for R&D.
• Own the life of field trials and manage the # of field trials and creatively keep to a minimum while testing all new technology
• Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
WHAT YOU NEED:
• Bachelor's Degree in engineering or related field.
• 3+ years experience with HVAC field trial experience, or experience within a testing laboratory setting relating to HVAC equipment.
• Ability to travel roughly 50% of the time.
• Knowledge of instrumentation related to refrigeration and gas combustion equipment.
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating, and maintenance instructions and procedures.
• Strong analytical, organizational and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication skills, written and verbal, with attention to detail and accuracy.
• Proficient computer skills and in-depth knowledge of relevant software such as MS Office Suite.
• Demonstrated ability to work well with others is a matrix team environment.
HOW TO STAND OUT:
• Prior instructor/training experience preferred
• NATE certifications preferred
