This position is full-time Monday - Friday. Employees are required to have flexibility to work any of our 8-hour shift schedules during our normal business hours of 8am - 5pm. Primary Responsibilities:
Supporting a care team of APC(s) and RN(s) with overall coordination of member care Functioning as part of a collaborative team Work with hospitals, clinics, facilities and the clinical team to manage requests for services Manage the referral process, processing incoming and outgoing referrals and prior authorizations, including intake, notification and census roles Data entry of medical records, vaccinations/lab results, health maintenance information and member chart management Assisting with scheduling of member appointments and transportation Arranging facility and member education Building facility relationships Resolve inquiries from members and/or providers Obtain medical records for members Presence in facilities and account for all patients
Part of the challenge here is dealing positively with members and providers in sometimes challenging circumstances. As a subject matter expert, you'll also be the "go-to" resource for information. The flexibility to work evening hours will also be required.

Required Qualifications:
High School Diploma / GED Must be 18 years or older 1+ years of experience working in the health care industry 1+ years of experience working with medical terminology Intermediate experience using a computer and Microsoft Office - Microsoft Word (create correspondence and work within templates) Intermediate experience with Microsoft Excel (data entry, sort / filter, and work within tables) Intermediate experience with Microsoft Outlook (email and calendar management) Experience with Adobe PDF (creating, manipulating and editing) Field based position with flexibility to travel the state of Rhode Island Ability to work full-time Monday - Friday. Preferred Qualifications:
2+ years experience analyzing and solving problems 1+ years of experience working with health care insurance Experience in a hospital, physician's office or medical clinic setting Clerical or administrative support background Medical Assistant certification

Rhode Island Residents Only: The hourly range for Rhode Island residents is $18.80 - $36.78 per hour.
