TAX COMPLIANCE
Aligns and ensures consistent treatment of similar tax matters for all Philippine group companiesKeeps an overview of material tax topics and potential tax risks for all group sectors in the PhilippinesFinal review of Income Tax returnsGRC reporting for tax risks for Philippine entitiesManages tax audit inquires, coordinate between local finance / tax teams and tax advisors, supervise responses, define audit (negotiation) strategy together with tax advisor and align with Global Tax FunctionEnsures implementation of appropriate counter measures in relation to tax audit findingsReviews of local tax reporting (GTC tool)Leads and prepares Pillar 2 reporting and compliancePreparation of local transfer pricing documentation (based on global template)Ensures the correct understanding and implementation of the group tax department policies in the local companiesCOORDINATION AND PROJECT MANAGEMENT
Regular communication between Philippine group companies, tax authorities, tax advisors and Group Tax Function on all significant tax mattersReportsto / collaborateswith Group Tax FunctionRegular Jour Fixe with local group companies and Group Tax FunctionServes as first contact in tax related projects for project team, Group Functions or BAInitiates and coordinates of tax driven projects (e.g. reorganizations, corporate measures etc.)Initiates, develops and implements tax-relevant or tax optimization / planning concepts and ideasInitiates tax-related digitalization projectsDefines local tax processes / directivesEvaluates extraordinary events or transactions outside day-to-day business for tax impact upon request of Philippian group companies, as neededLobbying work (e.g. during legislation)TRAINING AND KNOWLEDGE TRANSFER

QualificationsBachelor / Master university degree with tax and/or accounting focus3 to 5+ years experience with industry and/or large tax consultancy firms in the field of domestic tax compliance + reporting and, ideally, also in international tax law and tax planningCPA qualification, optionally BIR tax agent certificateStrong knowledge in domestic tax law, especially Income Tax, VAT, withholding taxes, local taxes, and experience with tax compliance and tax audit procedures for corporationBasic understanding of international taxation fundamentals and domestic transfer pricing regulationsProfound experience with tax compliance for PEZA-registered corporationsAbility to organize, prioritize and coordinate multiple tasks and deadlines; capability of working well under time pressureExperienced in project managementCapable of working independently and with limited supervision; ability to take decisionsAbility to work with global teams and to build relationships with several internal and external stakeholdersStrong analytical thinking, strategic mindset and negotiation skillsExcellent written and oral communication skills incl. strong written and spoken English skillsAdvanced experience with MS office applications (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint)Ideally, experience with SAP and/or Amana GTCCompany Description
