Job Description
An employer is seeking a Sales Executive for a large Electrical Power Company sitting in the DMV area. This Government Leader will identify and develop energy-related government research and development (R&D) solicitation opportunities and aligns technical and support services resources needed to pursue funding solicitations. The Government Leader reports to the Sr. Manager of Government Capture and is responsible for developing the solicitation strategy and business development/technical transfer with the federal government for all EPRI sectors. The Government Leader oversees the solicitation response including project concept development, technical and programmatic approach, pricing, and teaming. The Government Leader contributes to the technical edit and proofread of the final solicitation. The Government Leader interfaces with the Sector leadership to gain buy-in and approval of proposed projects and allocation of resources to the proposal effort. The position actively supports the proposal development team, monitors proposal progress, and facilitates resolution of issues that arise during proposal development. The day-to-day work will include well-coordinated feedback loops internally and externally. The Government Leader also functions as both a liaison and account manager for assigned agencies includes building a comprehensive growth strategy.
Skills and Requirements
* Knowledge of the electricity/energy industry with 7+ years of experience.
* At least 7 years of experience working with US DOE or equivalent government agency as a customer in business development or as industrial liaison.
* At least 5 to 7 years of sales experience.
* Knowledge of and experience with complex technical proposals in multi-million-dollar range.
* R&D or technical project management experience a plus. * Bachelor's degree in engineering, physical sciences, mathematics or equivalent required. null
