This will include the following responsibilities: remove undesirable andexcess growth from crops or farm grounds; perform general cleanup offarm areas. Weeding will include using farm hand tool to remove weedsfrom onion fields, pepper fields and hop fields, hop fields, alfalfaseed fields, corn fields and wheat fields. May be asked to drive companyowned trucks or vehicles under 26,001 GVW from hop, pepper and onionfields to hop picker facility, packing shed or storage locations.
Irrigation Job Description:
Will install and operate drip and pivot irrigation systems. Will primeand start electrical and diesel irrigation pumps. Will input irrigationschedules in drip irrigation controllers. Identify problems and reportto supervisor (electrical short, nonfunctioning valves, identify out ofspecified pressures in station and fields). Read pressure gauges and setvalves at specified pressures. Will read instructions to apply chemicaland fertilizer injections through drip and pivot irrigation systems.Will monitor, identify and fix leaks in drip irrigation systems.
Irrigation Requirements:
Ability to drive company owned trucks or vehicles under 26,001 GVW.
Ability to read and write English/Spanish
Basic Math skills; ability to add, subtract, multiply and dividePhysical strength to lift containers that weight up to 50 pounds.
Onions, Peppers, Alfalfa Seed, Corn and Wheat Job Description:
Will apply techniques as instructed by the employer when carrying outthe following responsibilities related to the hand harvesting of onions;clip ends off onions and toss the tops back into the field; hand harvestonions; place in bags and lay in field to mature; gather bags of onionsoff the fields and dump them into bins; sorting sacks after harvest;removing clods from harvester.
Planting and Weeding Pepper , Onions ,Alfalfa Seed, Corn and Wheatfields. Topping and tailing onions. Field Packing into bags, buckets, orbins. Harvesting, picking peppers and field packing into bins or trays.
Operate or tend equipment used in agricultural production and fieldpreparation such as tractors, irrigation equipment and other commonlyused equipment in agriculture. Drive vehicles to haul crops, supplies,tools, or farm workers.
Hop Job Description:

Cutting Hop Roots and Bundling Hop Roots: Worker will use cutting toolto divide hop roots and bundle and place in bins.
Twining/Stringing: Attaching string (twine) between trellis and theground. Driving stringing cart while other workers tie twine. Riding onfarm equipment cart, approx. 18ft above the ground, hand tying twine totrellis. Placing metal W in ground with gun. Fixing string tying toground. Fill water tank with hop twine to make damp. Training: Train hopplants, developing vines are trained to wrap around twine/string.Picking up downed vines, workers pick up vines that have fallen oftrellis or have broken strings. Weeding hop fields: remove weeds andexcess debris from growing hop plants.
Trellis Work: Install poles, attachment of all wires.
The Employer attests that these workers will be properly trained bytheir supervisor who has a valid Private Applicators license which isthe standard pursuant to Idaho State Department of Agriculture..Furthermore, their supervisor will be available to ensure that workersunderstand all chemical label, safety instructions, and applicationinstructions pursuant to WSDA.
