The Mac Systems Quality team is looking for a highly motivated and experienced manager to lead a passionate team responsible for the validation and optimization of power and battery life on all new Mac products. Your main responsibilities include supervising data collection and analysis, distilling the data for cross-functional partners, driving issues to resolution, and expanding the team and its technical infrastructure to accommodate Apple's product roadmap. In this role you will be responsible for delivering outstanding battery life and power efficiency to our customers. This involves close collaboration in a diverse team of software developers, QA engineers, hardware engineers and project managers. In this role you will: - Strengthen the team by hiring, retaining, and growing top engineering talent - Use technical and debugging skills to dig into the details to help root cause issues and define appropriate performance metrics - Collaborate tightly with cross-functional teams on high-profile, critical projects to drive bug fixes and power optimizations to ensure that all new Mac products meet their power targets - Continually drive innovation within the team including improved testing efficiency, new test coverage, and automation improvements - Communicate status and key insights to cross-functional teams and management

At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $166,400 and $289,800, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
