About the role and about You:
Zwift is looking for an Engineering Manager to join the Growth Engineering team. Growth Engineering is - quite literally - the engine of growth for Zwift as we are responsible for the software and services customers interact with concerning their Zwift subscription. Our project and feature goals drive subscriber acquisition, improve retention, and, therefore, top-line revenue. Simplifications in the Growth space, for example in the area of payments, also contributes significantly to profitability. On the team, you will have a chance to go deep in a variety of different domains - performance and channel marketing and measurement, payments, customer communications, and finance (tax and accounting) in a recurring charge business - to deliver lasting, high-impact solutions for Zwift and its customers.
If you have experience leading distributed software teams, owning distributed systems, and you thrive in entrepreneurial environments where success is determined by leadership and the ability to drive clarity through ambiguity, we should chat. We’re looking for leaders just like you.
While this is a flexible/in office as needed position, we’re looking for candidates who are within commuting distance of Toronto to facilitate semi-regular in-person connections with other “Watopians” (a.k.a., Zwift employees) in the Toronto area.

Success here is indicated by delivering systems that meet functional needs in a maintainable, and scalable way. With your PM partner, you will define and drive success metrics for your space. Identify opportunities to deliver (or blockers that impede) metric growth, develop, and advocate solutions. Manage the work of the team. Build realistic project plans that allow the team to deliver software iteratively. Manage stakeholder expectations, identify and mitigate risks to successful delivery or realization of feature benefits. Be responsible for the technical landscape of the team, and the features it supports. Drive long-term improvements to the tech stack with inputs from, and in partnership with, senior or staff engineers on your team. Lead incident resolution, and operations for systems in your space. Develop and improve team processes and practices, and proactively evangelize these improvements to peer teams where it makes sense. Embrace experimentation and iteration and mentor others along the same lines. Build and nurture a world-class engineering team. Identify bottlenecks and proactively work through resourcing challenges. Develop and grow the team’s talent through challenging assignments, and encouraging continuous improvement. You’ll push your team, peers, and leadership to take action in solving challenging problems. What we’re looking for:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or similar subject area. 7+ years of engineering experience in Java/C#/C++/Python or another object-oriented language. 3+ years of relevant engineering management experience in an agile environment. Experience leading remote or distributed teams. Excellent communication skills with both technical and non-technical audiences. Experience with Continuous Integration / Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) and automated software testing methodologies. Foundational knowledge in Computer Science, data structures, algorithms, and software design. Experience with Git or similar distributed version control systems. Sets a high standard of performance. Approaches all challenges with a positive attitude Holding self and team accountable for outcome, Credits others for their contributions and accomplishments and creates an environment in which differences are openly shared, celebrated, and incorporated into the team’s activities. Bonus points:
Passionate about the fitness, wellness, or gaming space Experienced working with geographically distributed teams. How to stand out among the rest:
Your resume/CV is enough to show off your skills, accomplishments, and experience. However, if you choose to include a cover letter introducing us to your awesome personality, we will read that too.

Transparency in Coverage:
Health plan price transparency is designed to help consumers know the cost of covered items or healthcare-related services prior to the date upon which they receive care. Transparency in Coverage (TIC) regulations require health insurers and group health plans to create machine readable files (MRFs) that contain the negotiated rates for in-network providers and allowed amounts derived from historical claims for out-of-network providers and make those files publicly available.
