About the Role:
Reporting into the Executive Director, Energy Markets Business Lead
Research and Analysis our Chemical Market Analytics business unit is looking for a Principal Analyst who will be responsible for oil product market research (specifically, gasoline and naphtha) and oil refining analysis. You will also help support the Head of NGL & Naphtha, the Associate Director of Energy Macro.

You Will:
Establishes and maintains a reputation for refinery and oil product expertise to become CMA's center of expertise in these areas. Collaborate with OPIS journalists and analysts to stay up to date with current market dynamics. Develop industry contact relationships across producers, consumers, traders, and the financial community. Use contacts to collect market information for analysis and forecasting, benefiting existing and potential clients. Support the head of NGL & Naphtha by collecting and organizing oil products and refinery related statistics and current events. Support the associate director of the Energy Macro Service by adding insight into the gasoline markets. Lead the preparation of models, data sets and analytics for activities covering oil product markets. Provide neutral and objectively written content within Market Advisory Service content including weekly and monthly reports, special topic papers and strategic analyses.
You Have:
Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance/Accounting, Information Systems Management, Data Science or relevant discipline. Degree in chemical engineering or chemistry. Relevant experience with this sector. Knowledge of the energy value chain and a ability to quickly gain an applied understanding of market dynamics. Experience modeling refinery unit operation. Experience of data visualization applications, data analysis and data modelling.
