About Employee Relations Advisor

  TASC is searching for an experienced Employee Relations Advisor to join our Human Resources team.

  This remote role will require travel to our Madison, WI headquarters on an as needed basis. Qualified candidates will live within a 3 hour drive from Madison, WI.

  The Employee Relations (ER) Advisor will act in partnership with the human resources team, people leaders across the organization, and senior management on managing overall employment risk and Employee Relations resolutions. This role will also oversee FMLA/ADA and leave of absence processes for employees and leaders.

  This ER Advisor role requires deep Employee Relations expertise as the individual in this role is instrumental in developing the framework and operating principles of ER and to support the overall employee experience.

  The Role:

  Employee Relations:

  Design and implement an ER framework, including policies to drive continuously improving ER practices within the organizationConduct investigations and address employee issues and complaints working in partnership with the Human Capital Advisors, Legal and Compliance to make recommendations on appropriate courses of action.Provides insight and interpretation to managers and employees regarding relevant employment principles, complex employee relations issues, performance management, workplace investigations and critical incident management.Manage and maintain ER procedures and practices to ensure compliance, enhance the employee experience, and promote our company values in partnership with Talent Management & Organization Development where appropriate.

  FMLA/ADA and Leave of Absence:

  Analyzes leave of absence requests, determines eligibility and recommends appropriate action within policy, ensuring compliance with state and federal leave laws and insurance plans.Provides guidance and accurate communication throughout the FMLA/ADA and leave of absence processes for employees and leaders. Partners with FMLA vendor to ensure appropriate information is being shared with employees and leaders.Manages employee ADA accommodation requests, including consultations with employees and leaders for initial accommodation requests and periodic accommodation reviews.Reviews leaves of absence for potential issues and elevates issues to HR Leader/HR partner to avoid negative impact to the organization or to the employee.

  The successful ER Advisor will have:

  Broad knowledge of HR principles, practices, and proceduresProfessional experience managing FMLA, ADA and other Leave policies is highly preferred. An in-depth working knowledge and understanding of HR legislation/employment law, principles, policies, and proceduresExperience coaching people leaders on effective communication during sensitive situationsSuperior listening skills and the ability to decompose complex problems. Your conflict resolution skills are essential for fostering positive relationships between people leaders and employeesExcellent interpersonal skills, creating an environment of mutual respect and trust A minimum of 5 years relevant experience in Employee Relations.Bachelor's degree in business, human resources, or related discipline

While this is primarily a sedentary role, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. The employee is also required to sit, stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms.
