Job Description
A well-known Government supporting company in the Dayton OH area is seeking an Electrical Engineer to sit onsite with the team. This person will be joining a growing team to support the different sensor exploitation and intelligence community research efforts within AFRL. Responsibilities will include not only assisting in some of the oversight of these projects, but they will be splitting their time 50/50 between researching different type of sensors and the software/makeup behind it, what is available, how to get them to work better and more efficiently and then actually supporting the integration of this information to these sensors. It will be an opportunity to be apart of a full lifecycle of conduct research, design, development, and testing of information processing hardware such as computer systems, network systems, microprocessors, microcontrollers, microcomputers, firewalls, routers, and circuit designs. Additional responsibilities could include developing mathematical/physics-based algorithms for current aerospace vehicles, weapon systems, sensor tracking and fusion, Electronic Warfare (EW) techniques, cyber effects, and communication systems.
Skills and Requirements
- Bachelors Degree in Electrical Engineering or similar field
- 2+ years within the EE environment
o Hands on experience with Microcontrollers, Raspberry Pi or sensors
o Understanding the wires, communication between software and hardware
- Ability to obtain a clearance - MS in Engineering, Science, Mathematics, or related technical discipline.
- Active security clearance, Secret or higher.
- Familiarity with modern military systems, both foreign and domestic, especially sensors technology.
- Experience with programming in C++ and Python.
- Experience with UX design for advanced operator interface concepts null
