Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Must possess competence in the following areas in order to perform the role ina safe, productive and effective manner:Operate down the hole DTH and/or top hammer drilling experience requiredBore large blast holes to specified locations and depthsMinimum 2 years of experienceEquipment preferred experience on T45, DI 650, DX 700-900 drill rigsPerform drill maintenance when necessary and change steelRead instructions and diagrams, layout drill pattern and determine depth anddiameter of blast holesPosition Requirements:Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screenAbility to exert heavy physical effort, handling average weight objects upto 25 poundsAbility to kneel, stoop, crouch, balance, climb or crawlAbility to correctly rig and hoist materialAbility to tolerate heights without fearAbility to maintain balanceAbility to stand or walk for long periods of time, reach for, handle,and manipulate items and to work in extreme weather conditions (cold and wet)Able to work long, irregular and varied hours, 50 to 70 hours per weekAbility to maintain regular, punctual attendance consistent with the ADA,FMLA and other federal, state and local standards.Ability to safely and effectively perform the essential job functionsconsistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal , state and localstandards, including meeting qualitative and/or quantitative productivitystandards.Equal Opportunity Employer Veterans/Disabled, E-Verify Employer
