Position Summary
Manage all engineering aspects of the divisional engineering program. Oversee capital allocations and expense budgets related to maintenance and energy for division retail facilities and the division office. Responsible for the service levels and performance of in-house and third-party maintenance. Demonstrate the company's core values of respect, honesty, integrity, diversity, inclusion, and safety.
Essential Job FunctionsEnsure compliance with and reinforce all food safety, sanitation, safety and Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) guidelines/procedures and programs according to company, local, state, and federal code/ regulationsIdentify unsafe conditions and ensure corrective action is taken; follow all company and store proceduresEnsure all in-house maintenance staff is effectively trained on safety and EPA complianceManage capital and expense budgets and the allocations for building repairs and equipment replacementsUse data analysis to effectively guide in management of the departmentDevelop and manage long term maintenance capital plan utilizing life cycle costs and benefitsOversee the project management process for capital and expense projects associated with retail and division building repairs and equipment replacementsDevelop and track division maintenance and utilities expense budgets; formulate corrective action plans when exceeding budgetEvaluate and manage the onboarding process for vendors; ensure all master services agreements are properly finalized and in placeManage the facility departments organizational structure to keep staffing at an optimum levelEngage and partner with all levels of store operations regarding budget reporting, training, local and corporate initiatives; participate in key division and district meetingsSupport maintenance Best Practices (e.g., software, procedures, and sourcing)Report KPI's to division leadership and General OfficeOversee and ensure the proper execution of the division's HVAC/R and non-refrigerated equipment, energy and maintenance programsSupport construction and minor capital teams with project scoping, design criteria and quality controlIdentify areas and processes in need of continuous improvementTravel to division locations regularly to engage staff and evaluate the effectiveness of programs and day-to-day maintenance operationsSupervise and coach direct reports in the performance of their duties; complete performance reviews and provide feedback to direct reportsMust be able to perform the essential job functions of this position with or without reasonable accommodation
Minimum Position Qualifications Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or related field experience6+ years engineering or maintenance experienceStrong leadership skills; ability to work collaboratively with peersStrong financial knowledge; ability to develop and manage budgetsHigh level of computer operating skills; advanced Microsoft Office skillsExcellent communication skillsProven analytical, conflict management and problem resolution skillsAbility to frequently make significant accurate decisions without close supervision
Desired Previous Experience/EducationAny experience as maintenance engineer, energy engineer, regional project manager, or regional construction manager
