Remote: This position does not require employee to be on-site full-time to perform most effectively. The employee's role enables them to work off-site on a permanent basis. This position requires an employee to cover territory visits to dealerships in a reoccurring frequency.
Selected candidate will assume territorial responsibility and relocate to Minneapolis, MN.
District Managers have territorial responsibility for the administration of the Sales and Service Agreements that exist between GM and its dealers. You will act as a consultant to the dealers by working together with them on the development and implementation of their business plans. You will be working hand in hand with the dealers to ensure that our customers have the best customer experience from the point of purchase through the life cycle of that vehicle. You will be involved in a variety of activities including implementation and development of marketing initiatives and dealer business plans, customer retention, product displays, financial analysis, Local marketing group meetings and training.
Role Responsibilities:
Act as a main liaison between General Motors and assigned dealerships Understanding the clients' needs; establishing credibility; and taking accountability for delivering value to clients Facilitating, coaching and consulting with dealers to ensure monthly/yearly new car sales and Certified Pre-Owned objectives are met as well as well as accomplishing other dealership goals Track dealership Customer Satisfaction Index (CSI) metrics to identify and address deficiencies Assist in product launches to ensure streamlined marketing and advertising between the dealer and GM Build and maintain friendly, warm, high trust relationships and networks of business contacts while acting with integrity and a respect for others and an ability to demonstrate teamwork. Monitor dealership personnel training to maintain 100% compliance in GM training objectives Assist dealers in business and inventory management, including vehicle ordering and inventory balancing Attend all local marketing group meetings and present market data and incentive updates during meetings Work with dealers to improve profitability through marketing, merchandising, and operations consulting Analyze dealer sales, local market, and competition to identify specific brand opportunities by using good judgment and generating and evaluating alternatives; developing and implementing effective solutions Increase sales of GM vehicles and parts to dealers Assist in dealer and customer problem resolution Handle recall and special policy inquiries Coach dealer on customer retention, satisfaction and dealership loyalty Travel to all dealerships in the assigned territory on a regular basis to conduct efficient, productive meetings that result in action plans to improve their results

Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree or 2+ years of experience in the automotive industry in lieu of a degree. 2+ years in sales and customer service Able to travel 100% and be mobile now and in the future and able to relocate anywhere within the United States Ability to legally operate a motor vehicle on a regular basis
