GENERAL FUNCTION
The Distribution Supervisor manages the daily operations of the After Sales Return Department aligning both inbound and outbound operations. The Supervisor is responsible for continuous improvement, daily management of labor resources, and achievement of KPI’s, goals and objectives established for the shift.
MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the Company policies, OSHA standards, and applicable employment laws. Supervisory responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; performance evaluations; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
Coaches, trains, and leads employees to meet productivity, quality and service goals
Develops strategies and initiatives that improve the productivity and efficiency of the various work processes.
Develops and facilitates employee teams to build cohesiveness and improve the overall results of the respective teams' tasks.
Ensures consistent daily/weekly expense control.
Instructs and leads others in continuous process improvements, including the use of various problem solving and productivity techniques such as process mapping and cost time management.
Leads and supports root cause analysis investigations, recommends and executes corrective actions and preventative actions.
Monitors a system of controls to ensure that service levels and operational performance goals are met within prescribed cost and profit parameters.
Participates in process audits to identify the need for appropriate containment or corrective and preventative actions leading to minimizing or eliminating process deviations and non-conforming product root causes.
Assumes additional responsibilities and performs special projects as needed or directed to support the business.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor degree
3+ years’ experience in logistics
3+ year’s supervisory experience
Ability to work independently
Demonstrated ability to work in a team-oriented environment
Facilitate a safe work environment
Must be highly organized
Must be flexible and able to adjust with shifting priorities
Proven track record of individual accomplishment, contribution and team based success
Self-motivated with high sense of urgency, resourcefulness and adaptability
Strong Interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to communicate and listen at all levels
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects
Application of Lean Principles
Strong computer skills in MS Office, MS Project or equivalent, Minitab or equivalent statistical package
Able to rotate from sitting to standing and lift up to 25 pounds
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Strong problem solving and data analysis
Working knowledge of SAP WMS
Strong computer skills in Minitab or equivalent statistical package
