Position Description:
Builds products in a cloud computing based ecosystem using Java/JEE, REST services, and Postgres SQL database. Prioritizes and triages product incidents/failures and isolates the issue to a component level using Splunk, Datadog, Postman, Postgres SQL, and DBeaver. Reviews engineering solutions prepared by the team to identify gaps and ensure the solutions are compliant with industry regulations using Java microservices, APIs, and Postgres SQL. Designs, reviews, and codes interim solutions to bridge the gap until product improvements are implemented using Java and Postgres SQL. Leads and coordinates project teams in incident triaging and data remediation to influences product leadership on the remediation of product gaps and bugs.
Primary Responsibilities:
Creates technical solutions to business problems in compliance with financial/healthcare industry regulations. Monitors, analyzes and troubleshoots B2B integrations and interactions. Identifies issues and proposes technical solutions to senior management. Proactively monitors batch jobs to avoid incidents by preemptively identifying and resolving failures. Manages and monitors the use of Personally Identifiable Information (PII) to ensure compliance across the enterprise. Acts as the owner and custodian of the Incident and Service Request management process.Manages the day-to-day engineering process and activities performed by record-keeping maintenance and support teams (Atlas).Quantitatively monitors the inflow of customer requests to scale products. Builds technology solutions and software applications to support strategic existing client base.Manages the day-to-day operations of the team (Jira). Provides back-end interventions to solve issues reported by customers using Postman and APIs. Identifies underlying code issues by reviewing Javacode. Leads development team in the resolution of product issues. Leads the creation and delivery of technology solutions in an Agile environment. Supervises production support and request management. Performs design and code reviews, unit testing, and test automation across technology stacks.Partners with business to ensure enterprise meets Service Level Agreements (SLAs) promised to the customers. Designs and creates reports for senior management on product stability, production incident trends, and service request trends to help meet the product goals.
Education and Experience:
Bachelor's degree (or foreign education equivalent) in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems, Information Management, Business Administration, or a closely related field and six (6) years of experience as a Director, Product Management (or closely related occupation) performing technical design, software development management, and production support of enterprise class B2B Recordkeeping products in a financial, healthcare, or insurance environment.
Or, alternatively, Master's degree (or foreign education equivalent) in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems, Information Management, Business Administration, or a closely related field and four (4) years of experience as a Director, Product Management (or closely related occupation) performing technical design, software development management and production support of enterprise class B2B Recordkeeping products in a financial, healthcare, or insurance environment.

Demonstrated Expertise ("DE") developing and maintaining mission critical, high transaction volume products in a financial, healthcare, or insurance environment; and coordinating electronic data feed based B2B interactions, rates engines, data heavy batch jobs, and financial record keeping ledgers in a highly regulated industry.DE creating and managing product backlogs, data modeling, designing, developing, and supporting secure service oriented, enterprise class, multichannel products using Java, Spring Boot Rest APIs, Relational SQL Databases, and Docker with a DevOps and Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) pipeline (Github, Sonar, Checkmarks, and Jenkins) in cloud-based, containerized ecosystem designed for scalability, resilience, and disaster recovery.DE tracking and ensuring the stability, scalability, observability and performance of products by distributed tracing, monitoring and resolving batch failures, feed errors, production incidents and service requests using JIRA, Service Now, Postman, Postgres SQL, Cloud Computing Consoles, and DataDog/Splunk/NewRelic for a product supporting a heavy daily transaction volume.DE leading the development of engineering policies, procedures, standards, capacity plans and product strategies for a B2B Product by performing incident triage, service request analysis, and projecting the business benefits using the ticket backlog in JIRA/Service Now and JIRA Align.
