OVERVIEW
The CR New Ventures team creates and iterates on products that solve thorny consumer problems and develops profitable new revenue streams for Consumer Reports. Working on the New Ventures team feels a lot like a startup—we're a small, nimble, collaborative and creative team that's dedicated to impact. But we also work regular hours and offer the stability of working for an established non-profit. We respect work-life balance, offer flexible remote work, and work on a double bottom line- generating impact and revenue. Upkept, our Webby-nominated all-in-one home maintenance app is an example of the kind of consumer-centric product that New Ventures has brought to market.
The Director of Product Development role focuses on new and adjacent opportunities for CR, and is responsible for spearheading the discovery, development, and execution of new product concepts from inception to launch in order to expand CR’s reach and diversify our revenue streams.
Under our CRFlex program, this is a hybrid position and is eligible for remote work up to 50-60%. The successful candidate must reside within 75 miles of one of our main office locations (New York, NY, Yonkers, NY, Washington DC, Colchester CT).
