  This role will be based at our global headquarters in Mountain View, CA. This role, due to the business needs of the team, requires employees to be physically present in the specified office on a full-time basis. This helps to ensure you are best equipped to be successful and have the experience you need to fulfil the responsibilities of the role.

  The Director of Global Food and Hospitality Programs is responsible for the strategic creation, management, implementation, evangelization and evaluation of all Global Food Programs and onsite team experiences. Furthermore, they will elevate communications leading to employee awareness of, and increased support of, all program activities resulting in a lasting impression for the employees of LinkedIn. All of this will be accomplished through management, monitoring, mentoring, and guiding direct reports and our 3rd party vendors to success.  

  LinkedIn’s Global Workplace Operations and Service organization is responsible for designing and delivering programmatic features and services that reflect LinkedIn’s culture to create an environment where people love to come to work, interact with their colleagues, and deliver exceptional results. We are looking for an extraordinary individual that has proven experience managing vendor partner relationships while creating engaging programs for our employees that relate to hospitality in an elevated way. Culinary operations, storytelling, financial acumen and strategic thought will be the primary focus for this individual while also promoting the objectives of our Workplace strategies.  The Director of Global Food and Hospitality Programs reports to the Senior Director of Workplace Operations and Services and supports Cafés, Events, Catering, Onsite Team Experiences and Break Room Operations across LinkedIn’s offices globally.

  *Responsibilities:  *

  Develop innovative food and hospitality programs that deliver world-class dining and event experiences in LinkedIn’s offices around the world.

  Ensure supplier partner’s performance meets contractual obligations through the management of contracts, Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s), budgets and accurate Scopes of Work (SOW’s).  

  Develop annual program budgets and oversee accrual, variance, and forecast reporting.  

  Establish and support programmatic guidelines globally.   

  Continually analyze existing operational processes and driving associated change, to enhance efficiencies, quality improvement, risk mitigation, industry and supply trends and any other relevant factors, according to LinkedIn’s high-quality standards.  

  Support global team, regional site managers and customers with customer feedback while strategically integrating vendor partner(s).     

  Align the continued development and implementation of innovative food service trends and concepts through consistent management of the vendor partner.      

  Verify through data driven decision making that LinkedIn’s global program and service objectives are met.  

  Stay current and be the authority for all local food service governmental regulations while maintaining LinkedIn high global standards.   

  Coordinate and support other internal functional groups including Design and Build, Wellness, Human Resources, Corporate Communications, Public Relations, and Security when appropriate.  

  Stay current and be the authority on current cutting edge and solution driven food service equipment, supporting adherence to quality standards, production requirements and financial responsibility.   

  Develop and support policies and procedures, which enhance and measure food quality: staying congruent with state-of-the-art procedures, techniques, equipment and terminology.  

  Perform ad hoc food service projects and any related duties associated with regional initiatives.  

  Travel required (approximately 25% of the time)  

  *Basic Qualifications:  *

  BA/BS degree or equivalent experience   

  10+ years work experience

  5+ years experience in the hospitality industry

  5+ years leadership experience

  *Preferred Qualifications:  *

  Experience creating and maintaining corporate food service operations. 

  Financial management experience, specifically budget planning, accrual accounting, and reconciliations.

  Extensive experience leading partnerships with outsourced service providers and vendors to provide effective solutions.

  Food service equipment knowledge, specifically café, coffee bar, and break room, support.  

  Superior written and oral communications skills, and highly effective at building trust and interpersonal connections.

  Demonstrated success influencing at all levels of the organization, and the ability to earn the trust of colleagues and senior management.

  Proven ability to develop and execute complex projects on schedule and on budget.

  Comfort navigating and leading through ambiguity and change.

  Contract management and negotiation.

  Curious, flexible, creative strategic thinker.

  Service leadership and talent development.

  Ability to execute and develop complex projects and programs on schedule and on budget.  

  Proficient in digital and technology media

  LinkedIn is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices.

  The pay range for this role is $150,000 - $244,000. Actual compensation packages are based on several factors that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, depth of experience, certifications, and specific work location. This may be different in other locations due to differences in the cost of labor.
