Vibra Hospital of Central Dakotas, located in Mandan, ND is a 41 bedCritical Care Hospital, providing long-term acute care services to patientsrecovering from serious illnesses or injuries. Often our patients requireadditional critical care services for medically complex conditions such astrauma, infectious diseases, wound healing, cardiovascular disease,stroke, amputation and ventilator weaning. As a smaller, specializedhospital, we offer an opportunity to work in a fast-paced and friendly workenvironment where you really get to know your patients and their families.
Responsibilities
Responsible for monitoring quality patient standards, patient and payorsatisfaction levels, and for ensuring that patients are receivingprioritized, cost-appropriate and quality services. Will assess,organize, develop, implement and evaluate the case management program andactivities in accordance with current federal, state and local standards,guidelines and regulations and the Joint Commission standards. Demonstratesknowledge and skills necessary to provide case management services to thepatient population experiencing medically complex conditions, generalmedical-surgical conditions with rehabilitation and wound care needs.Required Skills:Current, valid, and active license to practice as a Registered Nurse inthe state of employment or Master's Degree of Social Work (MSW) required.Minimum three (3) years of hospital case management experience required.Current BLS certification from a Vibra-approved vendor required.Additional Qualifications/Skills:Registered Nurse preferred. Previous LTAC experience preferred.ACM or CCM and CCDS certification preferred. Previous management experiencepreferred.Strong leader and manager, able to motivate staff to deliver high quality,results-oriented case management services.Strong written and oral communication skills.Assertive and personable with the ability to balance the complex challenge ofdelivering quality, cost- appropriate, and service-oriented outcomes.Demonstrates comprehensive knowledge of the principles and concepts of casemanagement and applicable standards of voluntary and regulatory agencies forreview activities.Proficient in collecting and retrieving material from medical records.Knowledgeable in utilization review, medical terminology, appropriatelevels of care, treatment, modalities, statues, and healthcaredelivery models.Interpersonal relationship abilities must be highly refined with negotiationand problem solving skills at a very high level.Must possess strong clinical assessment and process skills. Ability to projecta professional image.Knowledge of regulatory standards and compliance requirements. Strongorganizational, prioritizing and analytical skills.Ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant.Working knowledge of computer and software applications used in job functions.Freedom from illegal use of and effects of use of drugs and alcohol in theworkplace.Benefits
