Builds market position by locating, developing, negotiating, and closing new referral relationships. Drives effective execution of programs by the filed sales organization. Oversees management responsible for executing these responsibilities.
Responsibilities
Drives Field Sales execution of the company's referral partnerships to increase channel productivity by developing and working with Sales Management to implement standard calling routines for sales reps, developing and working with Sales Management to implement reporting and accountability routines for use by sales managers in managing rep calling activity, and coaching Sales Managers in effective partnering and sales rep management routines.Responsible for annual unit and revenue growth across sales divisions as it relates to channel development and management. Owns the growth and prioritization of future channels. Supports corporate growth strategies through the development of channels.Helps assimilate acquisitions and their partners to integrate to overall Paychex go to market and channel strategy. Acts as subject matter expert and primary point of contact for the Business Development Group to provide consistent information on the channel and Partnerships. Participates, as required, in the ongoing management of existing relationships to support business growth.Recruits, selects, hires, and evaluates performance of personnel to ensure all department needs are handled appropriately. Counsels and develops staff for personal and corporate advancement through career development, training programs and other resources as required for professional advancement. Recruits, selects, hires and train channel managers responsible for their respective channel developmentCollaborates with senior sales leaders to design and implement national channel programs for incremental growth. Works directly with Product, IT, Training, Service, Marketing, and Finance to design and build a business plan for such channel success.Develops and executes a structured prospecting plan to develop new referral partnerships in increase sales volume in the open market.Develops and implements communication strategies to produce effective communication of program information, including results, expectations, promotions/campaigns, and policies and procedures, to the Field Sales organization to ensure effective execution of the programs.Oversees and approves contracts for referral partners, strategic accounts, and other national accounts.Creates business development strategies for long term and strategic business objectives to create long term relationships
Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree - RequiredMaster's Degree - Preferred10+ years of experience in Sales Management.5 years of experience in Channel Management.
