Job Summary
The Director, AI Product Manager role is accountable for driving Equinix's applied AI strategy, working closely with senior leadership in BUs/functions to understand the business strategy, goals, and objectives, and delivering an AI product development roadmap that will enable high-quality, high-impact, high-velocity decision making. This role will lead the AI strategy and implementation, driving alignment and investment of budget and resources to the highest priority AI/ML use cases while partnering with our IT Data Science & Engineering team around technology and development.
Responsibilities
Develop and lead the AI strategy for one of Equinix's business units, aligning innovative technical solutions to business goals and objectivesImplement a multi-year AI product roadmap to facilitate the transformation of EQIX business units into an AI-driven enterprise while delivering significant advancements in business decision-making, efficiency, and productivity at every stageBuild strong relationships with executive partners to provide strategic input on AI/ML research initiativesPrioritize and launch new AI initiatives by collaborating with cross-functional business partners to find opportunities to optimize our operations through the implementation of new technologies and data-driven solutions (sophisticated models and algorithms, big data systems, and data mining programs)Partner closely with IT Data Science and Engineering to ensure successful product development and delivery and measure ongoing product effectivenessRegularly communicate product updates, strategy, and vision to senior stakeholders to ensure alignment across the organizationStructure and implement operational and strategic initiatives by creating vision and scope documents, identifying and evaluating relevant datasets and systems, leading analyses, and implementing end-to-end analytics solutions
Program Management
Lead the planning and delivery for a portfolio of 6-8 AI projects, managing these projects from initial proof of concept (POC) through development and implementationDrive alignment across AI projects to the overall strategic objectives of the business unit, providing oversight and management of model interdependencies and facilitating collaboration among cross-functional teamsEvaluate all new areas for AI investments, applying a prioritization framework to optimize investment of organizations' budget and resourcesEstablish ongoing communications and reporting methods with business stakeholders in order to stay aligned on goals and priorities throughout the entire programManage program risks: project timelines, evolving requirements, changing/adding stakeholders
Thought Leadership
Be a technologist leader to set the architectural direction for the growth and evolution of applied AIDrive research innovation, staying up-to-date with the latest developments in AI research, and identifying new areas of opportunity for our business unitsParticipate in key technical and design discussions with technical leads
Knowledge and Experience sought
Advanced degree (Masters or PhD) in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Physics, Engineering, or a related fieldMinimum of 10 years experience in data science, machine learning, artificial intelligenceProven track record of applying data science capabilities to solving ambiguous and complex business problems at scaleExperience with enterprise-wide AI/ML, preferably in a global organizationExcellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a consistent track record of building strong relationships with senior business stakeholdersExperience operating in a highly cross-functional, multinational business5+ year of experience leading Advanced Analytics, AI/ML, or Engineering teamsTrack record of leading successful AI/ML programs from project initiation through development and implementation, with quantified success metricsPrior experience in the Data Center Services, or Digital Infrastructure or Networking Services industry, or in Go-to-Market strategy in the IT industryA multifaceted, forward-thinking leader with a bias for action, rapid experimentation, and the ability to break down complex problems

Qualifications
10+ years of business experience, preferably in Investment Banking/Top tier Management consulting/Corporate Finance/Corporate Development at a leading technology company preferredBachelor's Degree in relevant field preferred; CPA or MBA a plus
