Up to 40% international and domestic travel, based on client engagement.DUTIES: The Director in the Mergers, Integrations, & Carve-Outs (MICO) Practice will collaborate with our clients in domestic and multinational companies across various and diverse industries. This role involves both project delivery leadership and business development; leading our internal project teams across the entire deal life cycle. You will use your strategic style, cross-functional expertise, and deal skills to: Serve as a critical team member to help execute client engagements, with responsibility for directing the client team, delegating tasks, handling all elements of execution, and helping manage the client relationship on each assignment. Work with our buy-side and sell-side clients and teams to improve efficiency and effectiveness at all stages of integrations and carve-outs; from identifying inorganic growth opportunities to carving out and divesting parts of the business. Facilitate and execute functional integration and carve-out work streams and assist the client teams through the process lifecycle (current state, interim/desired state) and operating model development and optimization. Business Development responsibilities; with a target of introducing new client prospects, attending industry events, and cross-selling other FTI Consulting services. Build internal relationships with members of the Transaction support team and other FTI services. Support eminence and thought leadership perspectives and drive topics internally.REQUIREMENTS: Job requires Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Accounting, Finance, Informational Systems, Economics, or related field of study and 3 years of experience in any job title in a consulting or professional services firm, or similar role.Must have 3 years of prior experience in:-Demonstrated ability to conduct detailed research on products, markets, competitors, and customers to identify risks and opportunities.-Proven ability to work with big data sets to conduct research and analysis on products, markets, competitors, and customers to identify risks and opportunities, draw conclusions, and effectively communicate and present data.-Proven understanding of business process analysis, with the ability to assess current processes and make recommendations for optimization using tools such as Tableau or similar data analytics tools.-Demonstrated ability to read and interpret financial statements and create financial models.Must have 2 years of prior experience in:-Experience and proven ability to manage specific deliverables, work streams, and junior staff.
