Reporting to the Chief Data Officer (SVP of Enterprise Data Services and Enterprise Architecture), the Director of IT Program Management & Strategy - Enterprise Data and Enterprise Architecture Services will be accountable for supporting strategic and operating plan activities including strategy development, senior level communications, and special projects in support of the Enterprise Data and Enterprise Architecture organization.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Partner with The Hartford's Chief Data Officer (CDO) and serve as the liaison with the Senior Leadership Team to create, communicate and implement strategic plans and initiativesStay abreast of current trends, challenges and opportunities affecting the organization. Actively maintain knowledge of key initiatives and emerging/conflicting prioritiesTranslate business needs into strategic communications and exhibits in support of the CDO and department goalsPrepare presentations for Board Meetings, Operating Reviews with CEO and Executive Leadership sessionsCollaborate with internal communications to ensure an integrated communication approach as well as a consistent brand and messaging strategyEstablish agendas and coordinate appropriate planning meetingsCollect data, use management analysis tools to conduct analyses such as cost projections, feasibility studies, benchmark comparisons and performance analyses; make recommendations and present resultsManage and lead special projects and initiatives In collaboration with the EDS leadership team, develop and implement processes to strengthen internal workflows and improve coordination between departmentsSupport the CDO innovation agenda by assisting in research to enhance enterprise data capabilitiesSupport CDO in day-to-day operations; Prepare CDO for upcoming meetings with senior management, industry organizations, etc., including draft speeches, talking points and presentation content
QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor's degree requiredAt least 10 years of demonstrated experience managing and coordinating multiple, complex programs and projects in a fast-paced work environmentExperience working in IT organizations and the Agile methodology with a solid understanding of software development life cycle A highly effective communicator with the ability to clearly and concisely articulate ideas, concepts and proposalsStrong written communications skills with thorough attention to detail; layout design, graphics, and visualization capabilityA high energy, results-oriented and resourceful leader who is capable of quickly taking control of responsibilities and establishing credibility as a strategic business partnerAbility to influence multiple stakeholders within the organization; demonstration of collaboration and teamworkStrong quantitative analysis, with a proven ability to work with numbers and financial dataStrong strategic, analytical and critical thinking skillsSound judgment and decision-making skills; not afraid to take risks
Compensation
The listed annualized base pay range is primarily based on analysis of similar positions in the external market. Actual base pay could vary and may be above or below the listed range based on factors including but not limited to performance, proficiency and demonstration of competencies required for the role. The base pay is just one component of The Hartford's total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include short-term or annual bonuses, long-term incentives, and on-the-spot recognition. The annualized base pay range for this role is:
