· Maintain legacy aftermarket Business Systems (MSS, JDE, SAP or other related technology)
o Utilize mainframe tools including COBOL, JCL, CICS, VSAM, IMS, and DB2.
· Provide after-hour technical support as needed
· Develops and deploys appropriate Digital and Information Technology solutions
· Analyze and apply Enterprise data to make recommendations to streamline & simplify processes
· Recommends modifications of basic Digital and IT systems to improve and simplify business systems and reduce operating cost
· Evaluates and modifies existing technology to allow for changes in business requirements or equipment configurations
· Develops training materials to support process changes and new technology introductions
· Overnight travel to remote locations to assist in the implementation of technical solutions as needed
· This position may be assigned (but is not limited to) one of the following key information technology disciplines and/or services:
o Application Programming
o Software Support
o Database Administration
o Help Desk
· Developing and managing information technology project plans and schedules:
o Acts as consultant to management on major matters.
o May serve as project leader to establishes goals, objectives and timelines.
o Manages work methods used for project.
o Manages assignment completeness, timeliness and accuracy.
o Estimates, develops, and manages project budgets and cost/performance analyses.
· Applies and leads continuous improvement initiatives to improve efficiency of systems and processes.
· Serve as functional expert, sharing specialized knowledge with others.
· Continuous development- Assess own skills and create development plan. Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing technical publications, establishing industry networks, and/or participating in professional associations.
· Train and mentor team members. Provide leadership within team and potentially for another Parker team/individual team member.
· Oversee development of training modules. Trains users for effective implementation and use of systems.
· Prepares and gives technical presentations.
o Complies with federal and state legal requirements (e.g. software licensing, confidentiality of employee records); ensures adherence to requirements and advises management on needed actions. May research existing and new legislation and propose policy changes.
· Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems, or related area (or international equivalent)
· 5+ years related IT experience
· Experience and/or training of mainframe tools including COBOL, JCL, CICS, VSAM, IMS, and DB2.
· Proficient in Microsoft Office tools
· Excellent written and verbal communication and collaboration skills
· Demonstrated leadership aptitude, learning agility, and adaptability
· Ability to maintain professional and strong relationships with business partners, contactors, and stakeholders
· Experience in Agile methodologies and can apply those processes to everyday work
· Experience in security best practices and compliancy requirements for area of expertise
