The Opportunity
We're looking for a Digital Content Editor to be responsible for creating, improving and maintaining Babycenter content to help achieve our traffic goals. It will be your duty to create high quality, sharable content to raise brand awareness, monitor web traffic and other metrics to identify best practices.
This role collaborates with a number of teams including International Marketing, Social, Sales and Account Management.
Key Responsibilities :
· Produce and manage the content schedule to ensure we are updating current content as well as delivering new content to deliver on content gaps
· End-to-end ownership of all content production, from briefing content to uploading onto the website using a CMS, including imagery upload.
· Manage and distribute the editorial workload to freelancers, ensuring standards and schedules are met
· Manage the approval process with the Medical Advisory Board
· Management of the ecommerce marketing plans including email, social and content delivery
· Implement competitor analysis to input into the annual content plan on a quarterly basis, including gap and keyword analysis
· SEO experience: Being able to implement best practice SEO techniques in all content across the website, whilst using SEO tools to complete keyword research.
· Receiving and understanding briefs from our clients, briefing this work out to our pool of writers, editing, proofreading and approving all content before it goes live
· Collaborate with clients via our account management team to create engaging campaigns, relevant to our audience, to maximise results and drive key KPIs
· Day-to-date management of key traffic KPIs across the website to ensure we're hitting the traffic numbers expected
· Input into email campaigns to promote key pieces of content where relevant
· Management of specific awareness campaigns across our web and app channels.
· Follow an in-house style guide and contribute to updating the style guide, as required
· Provide support to other team members, for example, by providing feedback, subediting or proofreading their work
What You'll Bring:
· A degree in marketing, communication, digital or journalism
· Basic technical knowledge of HTML and web publishing.
· Knowledge of SEO and web traffic metrics.
· A minimum of 5 years' experience within editorial/content
· Experience of using a CMS
· Excellent digital copywriting skills, possessing the ability to write strong, reader-focused content to engage digital audiences
· A bubbly and outgoing personality with excellent communication and relationship building skills
· Ability to work collaboratively and as part of a team with a range of stakeholders
· Experience of SEO and the use of keywords to enhance organic traffic
· An awareness of best practices in producing accessible online content
