Overview
Desktop Governance & Compliance ensures our wide-ranging end-user computing environment maintains operational efficiency and stability in a secure technical environment. We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Analyst II with primary responsibilities to include supporting desktop application management, i.e., software contract renewals and requisitions, audit and risk compliance, desktop governance and application rationalization, and elevated administrator access requests.
Responsibilities
Manage desktop contract lifecycle. Review, track, and manage renewals; Gather license and usage information and collaborate with business units to make decisions on contract terms and agreements to maintain compliance with federal and industry standards. Manage vendor payments for desktop software; Create and process requisitions and invoices for contract renewals and licensing; Work with the vendors, Procurement, ISD Financials, IT Asset Management, and Desktop Software Packaging to resolve discrepancies. Participate in annual financial planning; gather budget data, analyze hardware and software contracts, usage, and agreements, establish projected costs and budget allocations. Perform audit and risk management activities for the desktop environment, i.e., elevated workstation administrator access, restricted software, and desktop standards and policies. Evaluate requests for new and upgraded desktop and virtual software. Perform checks and validation against the asset inventory, technology, and regulatory standards in support of governance reviews. Lead and participate in Agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather and refine user stories, ensuring clear and comprehensive requirements. Conduct and participate in story grooming sessions to prioritize backlog items, break down epics into user stories, and define acceptance criteria. Deploy approved desktop software and provide customer support. Perform qualitative and quantitative analysis using analytical techniques, tools, models, and simulation. Analyze large sums of data and present findings using presentation tools, Microsoft Excel pivot tables, Power BI, and similar reporting tools. Perform analysis of applications and enhancements for process improvement or re-engineering. Ensure compliance with Navy Federal Credit Union Information Security and Enterprise Technology Service standards and best practices. Build effective relationships with team members, management, and key stakeholders. Recommend, develop, and maintain complete and accurate documentation. Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in information technology, related field, or the equivalent combination of education, training, and experience. Working knowledge of MECM/SCCM, JAMF, Uber agent, ServiceNow, MS Office suite, and other related tools and technologies. Experienced with expense tracking and administration, asset inventory reconciliation and license true-ups, and procurement lifecycle and applying practices to coordinate and facilitate completion of IT contract and maintenance agreements. Experienced in project coordination and meeting facilitation. Strong communication and documentation skills in writing technical and end-user documentation. Experienced in guiding and mentoring others. Experienced in supporting and facilitating risk and compliance audits, including progress tracking, status reporting, and the collection of artifacts. Experience developing action plans and presenting recommendations to management. Advanced organizational, planning, and time management skills with the ability to prioritize and execute. Advanced research, analytical, and problem-solving skills using pivot tables and other related tools and reporting. Strong communication and presentation skills when presenting findings, conclusions, and other information to a variety of audiences. Strong documentation skills in writing technical and end-user procedures. Self-starter with a positive attitude and willingness to hit the ground running. Diplomatic in exchanging information and addressing sensitive issues.
Desired Qualifications
CGRC or CSAM certification. Certification by the National Contract Management Association, Institute for Supply Management, or other nationally accredited source.
