JOB SUMMARY
The Department Assistant is responsible for providing a wide range of administrative and office management services for the Washington, DC Government Affairs office. The scope of responsibilities includes greeting visitors, restocking materials for the office, overseeing maintenance of facilities and appliances, assisting with events etc.
MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Actively and consistently support all efforts to simplify and enhance the customer experienceGreet and direct visitors to proper personnelManage purchasing of office and breakroom supplies and materialsMaintain and manage relationships with outside vendors related to operations of the officeCoordinate deliveries and service visits to the officeManage the calendars of reserved spaces within the office, including conference roomsAssist with mail functionsManage office subscriptions, including newsletters and newspapersRespond to work requests from department staff in a timely and accurate mannerAssist with hosting office eventsPerform other duties as requested by supervisor.
