Inpatient Lead TherapistCompensation: $30-35/hr
Denver Springs is a 96-bed behavioral hospital located in Englewood, CO. Thehospital offers inpatient and outpatient mental health and addiction treatmentto adults, adolescents and their families. At Denver Springs we arededicated to Changing People's Lives.
As a Lead Therapist, you will be a member of the clinical services team atDenver Springs. Our team drives a "Clinical First" attitude to helpfulfill our mission of "Changing People's Lives". The role performssocial services functions to include assisting patients in meeting theirbio-psychosocial needs while enabling them access to therapeutic treatmentskills to achieve their optimal level of emotional health. Therapist counselspatients individually or through group education regarding psychological,emotional, or substance abuse problems using evaluative techniques anddevelops and implements therapeutic treatment. Therapist provides education,social work services, basic consultation, and crisis intervention.Therapist provides referrals to patients for aftercare. Lead Therapistsupervises individual and group counseling and oversees responsibility fortraining new staff to ensure clinical documentation is current and accurateand meets all regulatory and other standards. Lead Therapist will assist withmonitoring and coaching relating to accurate and timely completion ofdocumentation and assists with coordinating coverage of shifts. LeadTherapist will help to disseminate information from the DCS and/or othermanagement to therapists when assigned as needed.

Provide Psychotherapy and counseling therapies to patients suffering frompsychiatric and substance abuse disorders. Therapies include group,individual and family.Ensure accurate and timely patient documentationActively communicates with clients, families, and outside referralsources, functioning within the scope of HIPAA and 42 CFR Part 2.Demonstrates proactive communication with those involved with the patient'streatment, documenting all correspondence held with patients and otherstakeholDisplays heavy involvement in treatment planning for patients. Works withpatient to achieve treatment plan goals and accurately documents progress.Demonstrates initiative to revise the treatment plan to create new goals forpatients if appropriate.Ongoing and consistent collaboration with the interdisciplinary team includingphysicians, utilization review and nursing staff members. Demonstratesactive communication with team members.Demonstrates the ability to work with the utilization review department.Ensures communication with UR on length of stay and treatment of patients.Creates thorough discharge plans with clients that meets the clients aftercare needs. Ensures both patient and appropriate family members or referralsources have appropriate paperwork in a timely manner after discharge toensure continuum of care.Qualifications
Requirements:Master's Degree in Social Work or Counseling or relevant licensure in stateof practice.Current unencumbered state licensure per state requirementsCPR and CPI Certification within 30 day of employment and prior to patientcontact.Experience:Prior work with psychiatric and chemical dependency patients.
