Summary
The Cooperative Institute for Great Lakes Research (CIGLR) is seeking a candidate to join a research team working on aquatic ecology and harmful algal blooms (HABs) in the Great Lakes. You will work with the project lead and the CIGLR Project Manager for Ecosystem Dynamics. You will coordinate documentation and reporting for CIGLR's Decision Support Tools projects (2-3) and communicate across project personnel at the University and our partners. These projects address monitoring, modeling, and other research related to harmful algal blooms in the Great Lakes.
Your appointment will be with CIGLR, which is part of the University of Michigan's School for Environment and Sustainability located in Ann Arbor, Michigan. CIGLR is a collaboration between the University of Michigan and NOAA that brings together experts from academia and government research labs to press problems facing the Great Lakes region. You will spend the majority of their time at NOAA's Great Lakes Environmental Research Lab (GLERL) in Ann Arbor and will collaborate with colleagues at CIGLR, GLERL, SEAS and other Great Lakes partners.
Term Appointment: This is a one-year term appointment with the possibility of renewal.

Responsibilities*
Track progress toward Decision Support Tools project
Working with laboratory research staff to compile data and perform quality assurance tasks under direction of principal investigators
Prepare Quality Assurance Project Plans (QAPPs)
Compile, edit, and format project reports and data summaries
Coordinate and attend meetings among CIGLR, NOAA, and other agencies regarding project coordination and planning)
Required Qualifications*
Bachelor's Degree in ecology or environmental science from an accredited university
1 year of professional experience working in research project planning
Demonstrated experience organizing meetings and writing reports
This position is open only to US Citizens or permanent residents due to federal security clearance required for access to NOAA GLERL facilities and resources.
Additional Information
Salary will be determined based on experience. Flexible work agreements may be made to support partial off-site work at a remote location.
