Department Profile
Enterprise Network Services (ENS) works as a strategic partner with Morgan Stanley business units to redefine how we do business in ever more global, complex, and dynamic financial markets. We deliver comprehensive enterprise networks for our worldwide infrastructure that forms the backbone of Morgan Stanley applications. Our insights, our applications and infrastructure give a competitive edge to clients' businesses-and to our own. The Risk function within ENS is a global Team that is the central point of contact that liaises with Firm wide Assessment teams, Regulatory Reporting and Audit teams to facilitate ENS responses. The Team manages and drives key Risk related initiatives for ENS. It is also responsible as a Governance function for Network Controls and manages the Standards/Policies around the Network. The Team needs to represent ENS at various Firm Committees and Management updates and is the lias on various Technology towers to drive holistic priorities.
Position Description:
We are looking for a Risk associate to join the global ENS Risk team which works on identifying, managing and reporting on Network Risks. As part of the broader Team, the candidate will be involved in partnering with various ENS SME's within Voice, Data, Automation, Tooling, Reporting, Engineering and Operations Teams to define, challenge, document and track plans and processes to mitigate risk. The candidate will help develop documentation, monitors, and reports status, assesses the effectiveness and accuracy of documentation in support of risk mitigation efforts. The candidate will provide risk reporting to leadership. The candidate will also assist with Firm and Network specific policy guidelines. The candidate will also collaborate and communicate with other risk managers to coordinate cross-division initiatives and activities.
Responsibilities:
o First line Technology risk officer for the Enterprise Network Services (ENS) group
o Identify, manage and report on Data and Voice related risks and controls .
o Partner with various ENS Technology teams to define and track plans and processes to mitigate risk.
o Develops documentation, monitors, and reports status, assesses the effectiveness and accuracy of documentation in support of risk mitigation efforts.
o Provide risk reporting to leadership.
o Effectively assists resources with policy guidelines.
o Collaborates and communicates
QUALIFICATIONS
Required Skills:
> 3+ years of industry experience with track record of delivering results
> Strong technical acumen including Network Security (data or voice) subject matter knowledge
> Detailed knowledge of the policies that govern technology including network security standards
> Ability to address complex issues and drive timely decisions by engaging others for additional input, and acting independently when needed
Desired Skills:
> Strong technology and risk background
> Strong relationship management skills to navigate the complexities of various Technology stakeholders
> Excellent communication skills
Expected base pay rates for the role will be between $100,000 and $150,000 per year at the commencement of employment. However, base pay if hired will be determined on an individualized basis and is only part of the total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include commission earnings, incentive compensation, discretionary bonuses, other short and long-term incentive packages, and other Morgan Stanley sponsored benefit programs#LI-TS2
