The EMEA Programme Governance Team (EPG) is charged with ensuring regulatory remediation activities and key strategic programmes deliver to the standards of quality and timeliness expected by Firm Management, Divisional Management and our regulators.
EPG is part of the broader organisation under the EMEA Chief Administrative Officer (CAO).
EPG consists of two core functions:
• Programme Portfolio Management, which provides portfolio level oversight over the delivery of key strategic and regulatory programmes, and sets the bar for project management standards in the region
• Programme Delivery, which manages the execution of key Firm wide programmes on behalf of Firm Management

What will you be doing?
EPG is hiring an experienced individual based in London to expand the team's project management, business analysis and portfolio oversight capabilities. In this capacity, you will support the team in:
• Providing central project management / business analysis expertise on key regulatory and strategic programmes
• Building out the operating model and tools for effective portfolio management across key regulatory and strategic programmes in EMEA
• Ensuring quality and timeliness of deliverables to Firm Management and the regulators through ongoing oversight, challenge and reporting across the portfolio
You will collaborate with divisional project managers and domain experts from across the Firm, including Firm Management, Sales and Trading, Finance, Risk, Legal, Compliance, Operations, Technology, Human Resources and Corporate Services.
Primarily supporting the EMEA Programme Governance Team, you will also have the opportunity to work with other parts of the CAO organisation and on a variety of topics and initiatives that are of importance to EMEA Firm Management.
The role reports to the Head of EPG.
Responsibilities of the role include the following:
Project management / business analysis
• Support the Head of EPG in providing project management and business analysis across targeted strategic or regulatory driven projects
• Assume project management leadership where projects/workstreams are small to medium scale; taking accountability for successful delivery
• Develop and manage project management tools and controls including project standards, project plans and critical path, RAID log, repositories, resourcing, reporting, stakeholder management and governance
• Provide support through all phases of the project lifecycle, collaborating with divisional project managers and domain expert and utilising business analysis to facilitate resolution of issues and risks
Portfolio Management
• Develop an understanding of the programmes on the portfolio to enable effective oversight
• Support portfolio review and challenge processes, and production of management information to key internal and external stakeholders, including Board, Operating and Management Committees, other Senior Management fora, and the regulators
• Support the Head of EPG in building out the operating model and tools to enhance portfolio management, including forward planning, prioritisation, managing cross-dependencies and resourcing
• Support the improvement of project management standards across the portfolio through the development and rollout of a "best practice" project delivery toolkit
QUALIFICATIONS
What we're looking for:
• Demonstrable relevant experience on complex cross divisional programmes in the financial services industry
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to draw conclusions from large amounts of information
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; demonstrated ability to work with senior management
• Proven ability to navigate in complex and ambiguous situations and collaborate with a virtual team in high-pressure, time-sensitive situations while maintaining a tenacious commitment to quality and accuracy
Skills that will help you in the role:
• Project consultancy experience at a big four consultancy is desirable
• Degree educated or equivalent, Project Management qualification highly desirable
• Excellent MS PowerPoint, MS Excel skills, MS Project and SharePoint skills
• Self-motivated with the ability to work independently
