Your Mission:
Design and implement secure and scalable data pipelines, facilitating on-premise to cloud migration for various government agencies.
Analyze and assess existing agency data environments, identifying inefficiencies and cloud migration feasibility within government regulations.
Develop and execute robust ETL/ELT processes, ensuring data integrity and compliance with strict government data security standards.
Build and maintain data infrastructure on approved cloud platforms (e.g., AWS GovCloud, Azure Government), adhering to rigorous government security protocols.
Collaborate with internal teams and agency stakeholders to translate policy objectives into effective data architectures and cloud configurations.
Champion data security, privacy, and compliance throughout the migration process, adhering to relevant government regulations (e.g., FISMA, HIPAA).
Develop and document detailed technical specifications and workflow procedures aligned with government best practices.
Stay ahead of the curve in the evolving data landscape, mastering new tools and technologies relevant to government data challenges.
Requirements
Your Expertise:
3+ years of experience as a Data Engineer or related role, preferably within the government sector.
Proven track record of successfully designing, building, and deploying secure data pipelines for government agency cloud migrations.
Strong understanding of government data regulations and security protocols (e.g., FISMA, HIPAA, FedRAMP).
Expertise in ETL/ELT processes, data modeling, cloud platforms (e.g., AWS GovCloud, Azure Government), and scripting languages (e.g., Python, SQL).
Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills with the ability to navigate complex government environments.
Strong organizational skills and proficiency in managing multiple projects simultaneously.
Passion for learning and staying abreast of the latest data trends and technologies relevant to government data challenges.
Remote-work proficiency with excellent communication tools and time management skills.
