Beauty & Wellbeing (B&W) is a key Business Group for Unilever that has a very ambitious growth and sustainability agenda. Beauty & Wellbeing brings together Hair Care, Skin Care, Prestige and Health & Wellness into a €10Bn business, with brands including Dove, TRESemmé, Vaseline, Sunsilk and Ponds.

The Beauty and Wellbeing consumer cohort spans the greatest breadth in Unilever's entire portfolio of hair and skin types, where these are related through a vast diversity of ethnicities, lifestages, lifestyles and purchasing power. Consumer Technical Insight & Claims (CTIC) is an integral part of opening up these market opportunities in R&D, sitting at the interface between product design and marketing. Our purpose is to guide our brand and category design partners to create products that deliver to the consumer needs, with product experiences that delight consumers and cue desired benefits. We develop communications that are purposeful and extremely compelling.

We are looking to hire a CTI Claims Manager, B&W based in Mumbai.
Role Purpose:
This role presents an exciting opportunity for someone who is passionate about working with a dedicated team of R&D CTI and Claims to develop new products and services to better meet consumer needs, to drive profitable growth for our Skin Care business.

Key Responsibilities:
The primary responsibility of the role will be to lead the claims programs to define and deliver strategic and project-based insights & claims to drive the medium- and long-term innovation program for the Skin Care brands.Own Skin program claims substantiation and defence strategies partnering with Legal and Regulatory and deliver outstanding communications for these innovations that are robustly supported.Deliver the claims strategy , market analyses , and competition tracking ; that will help us constantly raise our game in how we develop claims , evaluate and execute for our beauty consumer. Provide expert recommendations and guidance across Unilever CTI communities (e.g. defining Best Practice, assisting with strategic planning, training and capability building).Lead the development and execution of project workshops, idea generation sessions or other practical activities as required for project needs. Write research study briefs and execute consumer and clinical studies; working closely with internal functions and external third parties to ensure successful research execution. Acting as consumer advocate on global projects to translate consumer needs into technical targets to deliver superior products and innovation and defining the key jobs to be done to deliver growth. Deliver through working effectively with people from different functions (e.g. Marketing, R&D, CMI, Legal/Regulatory).Drive claim function excellence , leveraging digital tools .Other Roles and responsibilities Proactively identify consumer and market trends, new technology impact on consumers, and use these to deliver strategic opportunities that can help shape the category R&D strategy .Influence key stakeholders to act on these insights.Work seamlessly with R&D, Marketing and CMI teams to design project-based research, specifically early stage testing of product and pack prototypes and the development of compelling claims, to influence key decisions during the course of the project. Selecting the best research plan and use of appropriate methods.Define and execute consumer insight plans for projects and platforms ; partnering with CMI and marketing functions.Help shape the CTI capability agendas for B&W Business and be a strategic partner to leadership teams.ALL ABOUT YOU:

This person needs to be inspired by & experienced in bringing science and data to life- for non-technical business partners, customers, regulators, and consumers - through creative visualization and storytelling:
Must have key skills:Bachelor's Degree or higher in a Science or Consumer Science Field (i.e., Psychology, Chemistry, Biology).Science/technology and business/marketing experience appreciation.Analytical & Creative thinking - identifying patterns across data sources and translating consumer knowledge into actionable insights.Strong communication & influencing skills.Proven track record of combining science, sensory, and consumer insights to drive innovation and claims that improve business performance. A strong ability to translate the same content for non-technical audiences as well as managing cross-functional teams internally and externally (e.g. Brand, CMI, Research and PR agencies)Relevant experience:Experience within CTI functional experience is a must , having category knowledge will be an added advantage.Proven project experience with ability to prioritise ruthlessly and with great clarity, managing stakeholders effectively.Standards of Leadership:Proven track record of high performance not only inspiring & motivating people to deliver results at speed but with an owner's mindset and taking personal responsibility & accountability for execution and results - for self and leading others to do same.Brings the voice of the consumer into everything we do, by understanding the needs of the consumer to ensure our brands/products are finding ways to better serve our consumers
