Description:
The Senior Accountant’s role is critical to the month-end closing process. This role will be responsible for preparing financial reports, create and enter journal entries, perform analytical research and analysis, maintain the general ledger, perform account reconciliations, assist with audit preparations, and complete other accounting duties as needed by the finance department. ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES: · Assist with month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing for the North Andover and Mexico business units. · Manage various checklists, assist the Controller to help produce error-free financial statements for the North Andover and Mexico business units, in accordance with the corporate month-end closing schedule. · Assist with various balance sheet account reconciliations. · Manage fixed assets. · Record inventory and cost accounting adjustments as needed to reconcile inventory monthly. · Create and post adjusting journal entries. · Ensure transactions are posted in accordance with US GAAP. · Maintain historical financial documentation for auditor review and assist with annual audit. · Assist with developing and documenting business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls. · Assist the accounts receivable and accounts payable function as needed. · Special projects for the Controller and President as required.
