  Department Overview

  T he Corporate Communications Manager I, Diversity and Inclusion (US) manages/leads development and/or execution of plans/programs/projects/strategies by designing and delivering communications consistent with TD's corporate standards and strategies, and in support of colleagues internally, and our customers and communities externally.

  Job Details

  Depth & Scope: Manages communications projects/programs/initiatives of low to moderate scope and complexity Expert level communications professional role requiring in-depth knowledge/expertise in own domain/field of specialty and working knowledge of broader related areas Integrates the broader organizational context into advice and solutions within own area Understands the industry, competition and the factors that differentiate the organization Applies best practices to implement process, product or service improvements Acts as a subject matter expert within own area of specialty and/or as a resource for others Leads projects of moderately to complex risks and resource requirements; may lead end-to-end processes or functional programs Contributes to setting standards within area of expertise Solves complex problems requiring analysis of multiple variables, including consultation with multiple stakeholders Uses advanced methods to contribute to new solutions and recommends standards against which others will operate Impacts a range of functional programs and operations across own and related teams Interprets guidelines, standards, policies and results of analyses to inform decision making at senior levels Builds stakeholder alignment in leading projects and activities; may provide process and subject matter advice at senior levels Works independently as the senior technical lead and guides others within area of expertise Identifies and leads problem resolution for complex issues at all levels

  Job Requirements Must be eligible for employment under regulatory standards applicable to the position.

  Education & Experience: Undergraduate degree or relevant professional certifications, designations, or equivalent required 5+ years relevant experience Proficient knowledge of multiple communications disciplines, media channels, internal/external audiences, public relations, consulting principles, lines of businesses supported, banking industry, and customers supported Knowledge of current and emerging competitor and market trends Knowledge of risk management environment, standards and regulations Ability to manage a budget and work within the constraints of that budget Ability to lead, plan, implement and evaluate program/project activities to ensure completion of initiatives Ability to exercise sound judgement in making decisions Ability to communicate effectively in both oral and written form Ability to work collaboratively and build relationships Skilled in using analytical software tools, data analysis methods and reporting techniques Skilled in using computer applications including MS Office Ability to analyze, organize and prioritize work while meeting multiple deadlines Ability to work successfully as a member of a team and independently Ability to handle confidential information with discretion

  Qualifications

  Preferred Skills: Demonstrates a solid understanding of D&I goals and trends relating to inclusive business practices; as well as cross-cultural/geographical sensitivities to effectively deliver D&I programs to colleagues. Proven ability to identify external storytelling opportunities and a strong interest in or success in researching and pitching external media for coverage. Ability to synthesize information from others, share knowledge and connect all stakeholders and facets of the business when initiating, developing and implementing initiatives Enables innovative thinking and inspires innovative action and leverages communications to inspire others, as well as enabling knowledge sharing.
