Job Overview
TE Connectivity's Continuous Improvement Teams design and implement programs and projects to improve products, services, or processes aligned with business strategies. They coach teams; establish program performance metrics; and establish process excellence supports.
What your background should look like:
Requirement:
- Lead Kaizen / Process Improvement Projects
(i) Lead continuous improvement projects (incl. 5S+1, VSM, Standard Work, QCPC, TPM, Quick Change Over, Mistake Proofing, Cell Design, Material Replenishment & Flow, 3P, 6 Sigma, etc);
(ii) Facilitate value stream transformation projects and other functional projects, such as material, inventory, end to end, OEE/ efficiency improvement projects;
(iii) Lead and support the big projects of plant, and complete the targets according to plan;
- Material Flow
(i) Lead campus traffic flow design, and work together with warehouse team on material receiving & supply balancing;
(ii) Lead shop floor material flow design and optimization;
(iii) Facilitate supermarket pull and FIFO design and implementation;
- Plant Layout Transformation
(i) Lead plant level 3-5 year layout roadmap design, and track the implementation progress;
(ii) Coach / facilitate functions & production on layout optimization projects or new line 3P event;
- TEOA Procedures & Assessment
(i) Execute TE's TEOA procedures and systems in order to provide working guidelines and direction;
- Kaizen Culture
(i) Conduct kaizen activities in plant, including kaizen workshop for significant improvement on plant top priorities; Lead kaizen idea collection & monthly evaluation; Facilitate internal and external benchmarking;
(ii) Deliver TEOA trainings;
(iii) Support regular TEOA meetings & gemba walk;
- Drive TEBIT Saving from Operational Excellence
(i) Identify OEE, efficiency, process improvement, and material, labor reduction opportunities from shop floor, and lead team to implement;
(ii) Track the business outcome of operational excellence projects;
- Create and Update Actual Routings / Capacity Matrix
(i) Conduct the onsite operating run time measurement; consolidate the information into run time sheet; and analyze and evaluate the process bottlenecks, according to the run time sheet to minimize costs, increase yields and productivity;
(ii) Support evaluation of new projects, including line capacity, run time, process bottlenecks, CT, to ensure the payback on new projects.
- Standard Work
(i) Coach ME and Production team on standard work; Use standard work tools to balance operators' load. Identify wastes and eliminate to optimize efficiency.
(ii) Implement TEOA system in plant and achieve TEOA assessment
Qualification:
- Bachelor degree in engineering;
- >6 years work experience in lean / IE;
- Strong knowledge of lean methodologies, tools (e.g., VSM, QCO, TPM, cell design, etc);
- Master the professional abilities of on-site improvement;
- English read and written skill
