Railroad Construction Company is seeking a motivated, qualified individual with excellent communication and leadership skills.
S./M.S. in Civil or Mechanical Engineering
Minimum 10 years of experience in heavy construction industry
Minimum 5 years of experience in quality assurance / quality control (QA/QC) management position, working on the projects for agencies such as MTA, PANYNJ, NYCDEP,
Quality-related certifications such as ASQ, ISO 9001 Lead Quality Auditor, or equivalent
Experience in implementation of the Quality Management System and the project-specific Quality Plans
Ability to read and clearly understand the contract drawings and technical specifications
Ability to effectively communicate and resolve the Quality-related matters
Ability to conduct internal Quality audits and subcontractor/supplier evaluations
Reasonable physical ability to self-perform some inspections and testing (such as structural bolting, )
Experience in verifying that all subcontractor/supplier work meets requirements of the contract documents and applicable
Ability to manage the third-party inspection and testing agencies
Availability to travel within our work area, accommodating multi-shift and weekend work schedule
Strong motivation to effectively perform the job duties
