  Compliance Manager, Independence Consultation - Business Relationships, Independence & Conflicts Network (ICN)

  As part of ICN Business Relationships team, you will be an enabler of Deloitte's growth by reviewing proposed business relationships such as alliances, teaming arrangements, and sponsorships for independence threats that Deloitte faces in the marketplace.

  Recruiting for this role ends January 31st 2024.

  What you'll do:

  As a manager on the team, you'll promote and monitor compliance with auditor independence rules and regulations as well as internal policies and procedures to help manage Deloitte's regulatory and reputational risk. The ICN Business Relationships team is responsible for handling independence inquiries received from our professionals and engagement teams. As a manager, you'll be part of a strong and cohesive team where you will use your analytical, research, and investigative skills to:

  Manage a domestic and international team of professionals who process business relationships and consultations by answering questions and providing guidance and trainingPerform critical secondary reviews of business relationship submissions in the internal Deloitte databaseWork closely with Lead Client Service Partners, Professional Practice Directors, Regional Compliance Officers, DTT Independence Directors, and other business Partners, Principals, and Managing Directors on consultations involving business relationshipsIdentify and institute potential enhancements to the existing business relationship clearance process and tools, including the internal Deloitte databaseTake a management role in completing independence processes and assigned projectsMonitor, foster, and institute data quality in the internal Deloitte databaseCreate and present training sessions on business relationships across all Deloitte functions

  Business Relationships Team - a critical component of ICN

  Business relationships are essential to the growth strategy of Deloitte. The ICN Business Relationships team performs a critical consultative, quality-assurance, and risk-management function for the Deloitte US Firms, helping the organizations remain unbiased and independent when entering into business relationships with third parties.

  Qualifications of a Successful Candidate

  Required:

  Bachelor's degree (preferably in Accounting)5+ years related compliance experienceOutstanding attention to detail along with strong technical, organizational, and analytical skillsStrong technology skillsStrong ability to communicate information clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing, to various audiences and levels of seniority across the globeAbility to analyze facts and relationshipsAbility to perform process flow managementAbility to learn, understand, and apply Deloitte's independence policies and guidance related to business relationshipsAbility to manage and prioritize time required on activities and be responsive to requests for information.A demonstrated ability to lead, coordinate, and prioritize amidst multiple projectsSupervision, coaching, and team managementAbility to travel 10-25%, on average, based on the work you do and the clients and industries/sectors you serveLimited Sponsorship maybe available

  Preferred:

  Knowledge of independence requirements for professional accounting firmsPrior public accounting (Big 4), consulting, or regulatory compliance experience

  The wage range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. At Deloitte, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $93,000 to $191,000.

  You may also be eligible to participate in a discretionary annual incentive program, subject to the rules governing the program, whereby an award, if any, depends on various factors, including, without limitation, individual and organizational performance.
