The Opportunity
Williams International has an exciting opportunity for a Manual Machinist to join our team on 2nd Shift. This position supports manufacturing and is responsible for running parts utilizing Manual & CNC equipment, cleaning equipment, automated finishing equipment as well as identification equipment.
Job duties include but are not limited to:
Set-up and operation of miscellaneous CNC and/or manual machines, including mills, lathes, drills, grinders, hone, lap, deburr, etc. Machine and/or tests parts according to engineering and customer standards and specificationsParticipate in establishing manufacturing methods, including machine, test, material and tooling requirements, to ensure parts are machined according to engineering tolerances/specificationsPerform inspection and/or testing related activities to ensure that parts are machined in accordance with manufacturing standards and blueprint specifications. Visually inspects parts to ensure they are free of burrs or damaged surfacesMaintain proper identification of parts per planning specifications and ensures that accurate and reliable records and documentation are maintainedCommunicate change of shift requirements to ensure team members receive accurate and reliable information and documentationPerform routine maintenance of machines and equipment operatedClean, organize and maintain cellular manufacturing work area in accordance with established standards Ensure the continuous flow of materials and parts through the Cell Adhere to all safety standards and regulationsStrive to accomplish team goals and enhance the quality of machined parts through the reduction of scrap and improvement of throughputPerforms other duties as requiredQualifications
High School Diploma or GED with a minimum of 1-2 years of experience.
Experience with the following is desired:
Manual Lathe and Mill experienceMust be able to read and interpret blue printsPossess solid fundamentals in GD&TMust have experience with a variety of standard and dedicated gauging approachesExperience with aerospace materials such as SST, Inconels, Hast X, Aluminum, etc. is a plusPhysical lifting requirements include; ability to lift 50 pounds (4 inches to 25 inches), capable of pushing or pulling a weight of 60 pounds, a grip strength of at least 50 pounds, and be able to reach above the shoulder (65 inches)U. S. Citizenship status requiredPosition requires the ability to obtain a U. S. Government Security Clearance, if needed. Candidates selected may be subject to a U. S. Salary Range: $44,000 - $65,000
Shift Premium: 10%
