About Cloud Software Architect

  Job Description

  Intel Developer Cloud offers developers instant access to the latest Intel technologies, including GPUs, Xeon processors, and AI accelerators such as Gaudi2, through cloud services. We are currently searching for a highly skilled Cloud Software Architect with expertise in AWS, Infrastructure as Code, and cloud architecture for a position within the Intel Developer Cloud organization. This role presents an exciting chance to work with cutting-edge technologies within a dynamic and collaborative environment.

  As a Cloud Software Architect specializing in software design, Cloud architecture and Slurm, you will be responsible in leading software designs and guiding the deployment and implementation of software applications in Cloud. You would specify and refine the requirements of cloud services, automation, management, monitoring, protocols, and device operating systems. You will create solutions that can be repeatedly deployed and operated at massive scale by applying their unique, multidisciplinary, practice to ensure the stability, scalability, performance, and operational success, often by building software systems that manage these aspects of the company's services.

  Key Responsibilities:

  · Analyze existing software services, design, and develop new cloud software services.

  · Designing and implementing large-scale cloud solutions

  · Document the detailed design to explain all the user flows, data flows and the network flows in the architecture.

  · Work with fellow architects to understand the end-to-end system requirements and design for this.

  · Fostering innovation and enhancing efficiency within the data center/private cloud infrastructure by using HPC technologies, data center design principles, and staying abreast of emerging trends

  · Develop and refine data center architecture blueprints and guidelines, considering performance, scalability, security, and efficiency aspects.

  · Design and implement solutions for compute, storage, and networking, that align with HPC requirements.

  Qualifications

  You must possess the below requirements to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates. Experience listed below would be obtained through a combination of your schoolwork and/or classes and/or research and/or relevant previous job and/or internship experiences.

  Minimum Qualification:

  · The candidate must possess a Bachelor's degree in computer science, computer engineering, information technology, or relevant field.

  · 2+ years of experience in Demonstrated background in the capacity of a Cloud architect with experience in building and managing cloud applications or a related position, emphasizing a strong concentration on the design of multi-tenant data center infrastructure and the enhancement of performance.

  · 5+ years of experience in utilizing industry-standard tools and software common in cloud environments, including SLURM, Weka, cluster managers, and containerization technologies like Docker and Kubernetes.

  · 5+ years of experience with running production software at scale.

  · 5+ years of experience in Golang/Python or equivalent scripting languages

  Preferred Qualification:

  · Knowledge of architectural patterns for Internet Applications/Services

  · Application clustering and load balancing concepts and related technologies.

  · Experience in designing, monitoring, and supporting a large-scale and highly available hosting /private-cloud infrastructure.

  Annual Salary Range for jobs which could be performed in US, Colorado, New York, Washington, California: $186,552.00-$279,772.00

  *Salary range dependent on a number of factors including location and experience

  Working Model

  This role is available as a fully home-based and generally would require you to attend Intel sites only occasionally based on business need. This role may also be available as our hybrid work model which allows employees to split their time between working on-site at their assigned Intel site and off-site. In certain circumstances the work model may change to accommodate business needs.
