We are seeking a motivated and creative Classified Technical Writer to write and maintain critical documentation of cutting-edge work on critical programs related to national security. You'll work closely with hardware, software, and design engineers to compile highly technical information into easy-to-understand references, manuals, and published standards.This Classified Technical Writer will collaborate with APL's technical staff to create content across a range of science and engineering disciplines. A Bachelor's degree in English or a related discipline3+ years of relevant experience with similar technical writing efforts for the DoD or DoD contractorsExperience writing and editing formal publications and technical documents for organization, grammar, usage, and clarityExcellent verbal and written communication skills with a superior command of the English languageA proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously with an eye for prioritizationA proven ability to quickly learn and understand complex topicsExcellent organizational skills and attention to detailProficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)Are able to obtain Interim Secret level security clearance by your start date and can ultimately obtain TS/SCI level clearance.
