Summary:
The Child Life Specialist contributes to an excellent patient experience by assessing, educating, preparing, and supporting patients and families in the health care system. The child life specialist collaborates with other health care providers, as well as the community, to promote growth and development and facilitate positive adjustment for patients and families throughout the health care experience.

Required Education/Qualifications:
Minimum of bachelor's degree in child Life, child development, or a closely related field.Completion of child life internship.Certified Child Life Specialist, by exam, preferred within one year of hire.American Heart Association Health Care Provider BLS is required within 60 days of hire.
