　　About Chief Accounting Office:

　　The Chief Accounting Office (CAO) organization is responsible for all accounting and the related compliance and reporting of Intel globally. The team has responsibility for partnering with routine data process owners to confirm the proper accounting to Intel's general ledger for financial related business processes; performs all controllership and consolidation functions of accounting transactions within Intel's general ledgers; consolidates Intel's financial results; performs necessary controllership functions for the review and reconciliation of Intel's consolidated results; and drafts and files all required financial compliance reporting globally.

　　About the Role:

　　Capital Accounting, Accounting Technical Specialist position within the CAO organization reporting directly to the Corporate Accounting Controller. Joins a global Capital Accounting team of approx. 25 responsible for assuring the proper recording, valuation and reporting of Intel's property, plant, and equipment (fiscal year 2022: 80B+ USD net book value and 24B+ USD capital expenditures).

　　Capital Accounting has a crucial role supporting Intel's IDM 2.0 strategy, which includes significant manufacturing expansion plans (including but not limited to an expansion in Arizona and Oregon, new Ohio mega-site, and new European site in Germany) and building a world-class foundry business, Intel Foundry Services. They will partner with stakeholders worldwide including other CAO functional areas, Operations Finance, IT, and Tax to understand business activities, provide important business insights, and drive optimization of Intel's end-to-end capital policies, processes, and systems. The Accounting Technical Specialist will also enable Finance key objectives.

　　The primary responsibilities for this role will include, but are not limited to:

　　Support accounting close and the asset valuation process (assures property, plant and equipment is properly valued and depreciated according to policy).Provide technical accounting consultations for unique, material transactions throughout their lifecycle with ability to engage in early stage of exploration and throughout negotiations to help influence the best outcome for the business.Maintain capital accounting policies ensuring alignment with current US GAAP, while comprehending changes in the business.Educate business groups on capital accounting policies and provide guidance on their application.Partner with Operations Finance to drive process improvements to reduce risk and redundancies.

　　Qualifications

　　A successful candidate will have proven experience demonstrating the following skills and behavioral traits:

　　Accounting, process, and controls: Solid understanding and a demonstrated working knowledge of accounting and reporting systems including ability to identify, understand and translate cross-functional requirements into optimized business processes and controls.Technical accounting consultation and conclusions: translate business facts into accounting conclusions utilizing relevant accounting guidance.Communication: effectively communicate and build relationships with stakeholders, process teams, leadership, and third parties.Partnership and execution within a matrixed structure: ability to work cross-functionally in a sometimes-complex matrixed structure and objectively arrive to a desired outcome that is in the best interest of Intel.

　　Qualifications:

　　Minimum qualifications are required to be initially considered for this position.

　　Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accounting.More than 5 years of related financial analysis and reporting experience.Intermediate to Advanced English proficiency (both verbal and written).Must have unrestricted - permanent right to work in Costa Rica.

　　Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates.

　　CPA or equivalent Accounting Designation.Experience in public accounting or a global organization.

　　Working Model

　　This role will be eligible for our hybrid work model which allows employees to split their time between working on-site at their assigned Intel site and off-site. In certain circumstances the work model may change to accommodate business needs.
