Overview
TheBusiness Intelligence Analyst (Cogito) facilitates report content design and establishes reporting scope and prioritization. The CBIA will act as the Reporting Workbench and Radar administrator for the organization. This position will administer self-service solutions and facilitate and maintain the analytics catalog. The analyst also serves as the first point of contact to identify appropriate solutions for various reporting needs, as well as identifies gaps in reporting solutions to initiate new development.
Responsibilities
Facilitates report content design and establishes report scope and prioritization.
Assists with translation of end user workflow-based reports into specific data points required for report development.
Facilitates and maintains the Analytics Catalog.
Works with the Cogito project manager and Business Intelligence Developer (BID) to identify appropriate solutions for various reporting needs.
Identifies gaps in reporting solutions, and works with BID to request new development, including, but not limited to: Caboodle, SSAS Cubes, Radar, Slicer Dicer, Webi/Universes.
Identifies the needs of report consumers by collaborating with the reporting subject matter experts.
Designs specifications for custom report requests with the input of subject matter experts and BIDs.
Assists the principal trainer with developing training curriculum and in training reporting users.
Builds and maintains Radar dashboards for report end users.
Builds and maintains Reporting Workbench reports, templates, and extracts for the application.
Develops reports and executive dashboards to support clinical and revenue initiatives long-term.
Completes Radar setup for custom SQL metrics.
Creates data for report testing and ensures that all application dashboards and reports are tested.
Ensures that end users are satisfied with reports and distribution tools.
Performs post-live volume testing and evaluates overall consumer happiness with reports.
Qualifications
QUALIFICATIONS:
Epic certification in all applications in their area and other related areas within 3 months of training.EDUCATION:
Bachelor’s degree in computer sciences, math or information systems required.EXPERIENCE:
Two or more years of applicable experience required.
Four or more years of applicable experience preferred.
