Business Development Representative - Job Description
The role of a Business Development Representative is responsible for helping enterprise organizations re-imagine their customer experiences and create new sales opportunities for your Account Executive team. The ideal candidate should be a self-starter with high motivation, independence, resilience, and the ability to collaborate and interact with multiple stakeholders across our cross-functional teams.
What You'll Do:
You are the main driver for identifying and providing high value opportunities into the Sales pipeline and the first line of relationship development with prospective high-value accounts.
Deliver a consultative approach to selling, ensuring you understand the prospect's business, their goals, objectives, and challengesConsistently build and expand current pipeline and other metrics such as lead follow-up and outbound account engagement statisticsManaging territory plan with your key Account Executives and Inside Sales Specialists and their accounts. Research key accounts, identify decision-makers, generate interest, and develop accounts to drive opportunitiesProspect, educate, qualify and develop Target Accounts and inbound leads to create Sales Qualified Leads (SQL)Setup, attend, and hold qualification meetings with customers in partnership with your sales team. Ensure CRM, Outreach and other tools are updated to capture key history and smooth transition to the relevant Account Manager as necessary.What You Need to Succeed
Minimum 2-3 years experience in Sales/Business DevelopmentProven track record of successful business development within a technology sales environmentDeliver inbound and outbound experiences while building strong relationships at multiple levels within an institutionExperience managing all aspects of the Business Development Representative process including account planning, pre-call preparation, opportunity qualification, and objection handlingProficiency with standard corporate productivity tools and experience with sales tools such as CRM, SFDC, Outreach, Zoominfo
Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several U.S. geographic markets, and we pay differently based on those defined markets. The U.S. pay range for this positionis $63,000 -- $100,200 annually. Paywithin this range varies by work locationand may also depend on job-related knowledge, skills,and experience. Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range for the job location during the hiring process.
At Adobe, for sales roles starting salaries are expressed as total target compensation (TTC = base + commission), and short-term incentives are in the form of sales commission plans. Non-sales roles starting salaries are expressed as base salary and short-term incentives are in the form of the Annual Incentive Plan (AIP).
In addition, certain roles may be eligible for long-term incentives in the form of a new hire equity award.
